“A Don't Miss Food, Culture and History Tour”
Reviewed 2 January 2010

Leslie Wiggins of The Flavors of San Juan Food and Culture Tours was a delightful guide, very knowledgeable, extremely efficient and very reasonably priced. We spent nearly four hours visiting 4 drinking (at the birthplace of the pina colada) and dining spots (including the famous El Convento), being treated to beautiful sunset views, special historical and cultural stories, including the Governor's palace and some intriguing shops and shopkeepers. She seems to know everyone, adding to the fun. The dessert sampler was amazing. This is a definite thumbs up!

“Great Orientation for start of trip”
Reviewed 29 December 2009

We took this tour the first evening that we had arrived so that we could get our bearings, both culturally and gastronomically. Leslie, our tour guide, met us on time with no problems. Her knowledge of the history of Old San Juan was fantastic and I used many of her facts to impress the family members that hadn't arrived yet. The food and drink that was experienced gave a great variety of what was available in the town. It really was a nice evening of food, drink and conversation and highly recommended to start your trip to Old San Juan.

“The best part of our San Juan trip by Far...unbelievably great!”
Reviewed 12 December 2009

I had never heard of a culinary tour before, but ran across this review in trip advisor under " things to do." My 24 year-old daughter and I agree. It was the best part of our trip. Leslie, the owner and tour guide is American and speaks perfect English, which made us really comfortable. She was very friendly and knowledgable, both about typical Puerto Rican food and the sites in old San Juan. She had four restaurants selected in advance, all very nice places. Each stop on the route that also included a guided tour, had a fancy drink and a big portion of food all ready when we walked in the door. There was no waiting to order or get the food, and we were practically treated like visiting royalty. Every single food and drink item was delicious. Being tourists, we would have had no idea what restaurants were really good. It was so easy paying Leslie up front and never worrying about paying a check at four different places. My daughter even wondered how Leslie could make any money on this tour, given the average drink in San Juan was 10$, so that was almost the price of the tour right there. I reallly can't rave about this tour enough, and I think it is so worth doing that if I visit again, Im going to sign up for another tour.

“Don't miss this one!”
Reviewed 17 November 2009

We agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers.....this tour was outstanding (and we've taken a few "food" tours") and a wonderful way to get an overview of both the history and food of San Juan. Leslie is a delight and she knows her stuff. A jewel of a tour and a rare bargain.

“The Best Tour I Have Ever Been On”
Reviewed 7 October 2009

Flavors of San Juan Food and Culture Tours was the most wonderful experience! We visited several delicious restaurants and most importantly of all, the tour guide and owner of the company was amazing. She was well-versed and very personable. She knew all of the inside and outs of San Juan.

I will DEFINITELY go on the tour again the next time I am in San Juan!
