Exceptional food, ambiance and service. Felt like a welcomed guest; unlike most restaurants we visited in SJ. Hard to find, but omg so worth it! I would travel back just for their paella risotto. Spread the word, THIS IS A GEM!

This restaurant is on the second floor of an old structure within an old park in San Juan, with parking, out of sight of other places and just a weird place for a restaurant to be located. The place is a high ceiling wooden structure with ceiling fans, and lots of San Juan related decor. We had cocktails, quite good. A sampler of crab empanadas, spring rolls, chicken on a stick and skirt steak for appetizers. The menu is small, about 6 items to order from, but delicious. We had mahi mahi with mushroom risotto, paella risotto, skirt steak with rice and beans. Delicious and hot and wonderful. Dessert was limited to cheese flan and coffee. The experience was great, we had a relaxed, enchanting evening.

One thing: it is a long set of stairs, although not steep, to get to the second floor. Not sure if they have handicap access.

I loved the atmosphere, a great place to go and have drinks and a nice meal. The owner was there and she was very nice and attentive to all the customers.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here. The ceviche was great, cocktails delicious, and ambiance unique. The location was a bit dicey, but the night we visited, there was security patrolling the area between parking and the restaurant. Don't order the "fried pork chop," it is strange.

Right from the parking, someone from the restaurant escorted us to the restaurant telling us about the history about the place and the Polvorín building. As soon as we enter the the restaurant we were greeted and treated so nice. The food was delicous and the service, Jemel our waiter, was really good. I will definetly return and would recommend it to anyone. Look foward to returning and with the Sal! Discount for making reservation was worth it.
