We used hotel points to pay for our stay at this hotel. It was an ok place to rest your head at night, but other than that we did not spend much time in our room. We stayed four nights and did not have any major problems, however we did have to flush our toilet twice to be able to have the water run through it and our tv did not work. The pool was nice enough, but there were rarely towels for use by it and there are no restrooms on the main floor accessible while swimming, but there is a shower in the back corner of the pool area. The breakfast was a normal continental breakfast, but the cereal was stale. This hotel is a great location in Condado, it is only a block away from the beach and many restaurants.

Stayed here for one night with some family just before our RCCL cruise was to leave San Juan. The room itself appeared to be clean upon arrival. However, we did discover some cockroaches in our shower. Upon telling the front desk desk, a maintenance man was sent up to take care of the problem. He put some unknown chemical in the tub and then left. The staff never even bothered to then clean the tub after treating it with this chemical. After complaining to the front desk we were moved to another room. This room also appeared somewhat clean but smelled very musty. Free breakfast in the morning was nothing to really speak of, cereal was stale and the room was very small which made it hard to maneuver. I would say if your going to stay in this area choose another hotel since there are a whole bunch more in the area. The hotel did give us about $30 dollars back for the inconvenience.

We stayed here the night before out RCCL cruise. This hotel is fine for a one night stat only. The staff was friendly and very helpful and we were working walking distance to restaurants. I would not stay here long term, since this property is very old and in need of an upgrade.

The room was clean and the bathroom was remodeled. Smelled like mildew. They had new bed linens, but the bed was the lumpiest thing I ever slept on. Air conditioner was dripping water onto the floor and water stains on ceiling. Breakfast was horrible. Internet in business center worked great. Night clerk who checked me in was very friendly and efficient. Parking lot is awful, only about room for 10 cars and you have to park dangerously close to other vehicles in unmarked areas - all for the price of $15 extra per day. I would not stay here again, nor recommend it.

We booked this hotel for one night after our cruise. We arrived at 1:00 and they didn't have any rooms ready. They said they would hold our luggage and to check back in an hour so we walked over to the beach. When we came back, our room was ready but they couldn't find our luggage (different person at front desk). They finally found it. I'm not sure what exactly happened but I was concerned for a few minutes. The hotel is a little dated and in need of some TLC. The elevator is down right scary. It doesn't stop even with the floor and I only rode it that one time and took the stairs after that. The pool was ok. It was a little cool and there really is not a shallow end. The vast majority of the pool is either 6 or 8 foot deep and the small end that is 5 foot was filled with other people. It would not be good for children. There were several areas around the pool in need of a painting. I'm pretty sure the pop machine hasn't worked in about 10 years. The room had a very musty smell but appeared clean. The air conditioner ran well but it was very damp in the room. Even the bedding felt damp. You could hear everybody in the hall outside the room and I assume they could hear us too. The breakfast is a normal Comfort Inn type breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of a beach and several restaurants. Check out went smoothly and they called a taxi for us which was there within a couple minutes. Overall, it was ok for a one night stay.

Originally, we booked holiday inn (san juan plaza hotel), but once they dropped the holiday inn franchise, we noticed the reviews started going bad, so we changed to this hotel. Cwe arrived early. Checking in was quick & easy. Once we got a refrigerator moved in (we had notifed ahead of time we needed one for insulin, so they had ond for us in 15minutes). Breakfast room is nicest I've seen and cozy, food was standard. Ice &soda machine are on 1st floor beside pool...soda machine was broken so they we're sending everbody next door to, of all places, san juan plaza hotel/old holiday inn! Staff very friendly, accomodating & knowledgable. Bathrooms arecramped....couldnt sit on toilet without left shoulder being against vanity, shower head almost too low for me and I'm under 5'5" while i could bare get towels from towel rack which is in shower and located at about 6'6". Very few outlets (1 in bathroom & 1 in bedroom). Beds were standard and ok. Overall, I'd come here again.

Stayed for 1 night pre cruise. Hotel is dated, bathroom is very dated, but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a $17 cab fare to the hotel plus $1 per bag from the airport. The fare to old San Juan was $16 and the fare to. The Pan American cruise terminal was $15 plus $1 per bag. Breakfast is included, but they only have Sanka and not freaks brewed decaf coffee. Hotel staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Hotel has free high speed Internet.
