One of San Juan's finest restaurants with an award-winning chef and a spectacular location inside the Puerto Rico Art Museum. Wonderfully executed world cuisine with a Caribbean twist. Great place for a business dinner and very nice private room.

Located inside the Puerto Rico Art Museum, Laurel is one of the culinary experiences of San Juan. Best service all around and elegant atmosphere. And the food is amazing.

We opted for the chef's pre fix meal and were not dissappointed. The couple we were dining with are vegan, and the chef's vegan dishes were beautiful and, according to our friends, delicious. Simply one of the best meals I've ever had. The service was on pare with the food, impeccable. Great wine list, incredible ambiance, it had it all. Warning, you have to go through the gate at the front of the art museum to get back to the restaurant, it's a little tricky. I reserve five stars for only truly exceptional experiences and Laurel Kitchen easily earned all five of them! *****

My wife and youngest daughter went to Laurel, last Saturday night. The service once you enter through that door is excellent and amazing. They are very attentive to details. The waiter, Rafael, detailed the specials of the night, very precisely which you couldn't decide since it was soo good! The chef sent us complimentary appetizers, which were fried cheese croquettes with papaya inside. We also tried the lamb meatballs as appetizers which were out of this world. My wife and I had the trout in an egg batter(rebozada) and was to die for. The Tito's vodak martinis were excellent and so was the wine. For dessert we had the 'chironja'(grapefruit/orange hybrid fruit) gelato which was delicious!

Laurel kitchen art bar is located inside the Museum of Art. Reservations are recommended. We had an amazing fine dining experience. Great wine selection. Excellent service. We shared some appetizers including smoked salmon "alcapurrias"- a puertorrican treat with a kick! "Pastel"- extremely delicious, and the tuna tartar. As the main course, we shared the melt-in-your-mouth Chilean seabass, with a yucca puree and port-wine and foi gras reduction- exquisite! It had a truffle touch too. Dessert- delicious chocolate souffle- please order it at the beginning as it takes about 20 mins- it comes with an orange? ice cream. Definitely the best restaurant in San Juan!
