Grab some history from pirates to spanish militia, dungeons, museum, cannons, passageways, see how they lived in that epoch.

Beautiful pictures, view, and food, we ate at perillo's italian and argentine bar and grill in old san juan, the food was delicious and the boys loved the pizza there, thin crispy and brick oven baked

If you have a few hours to kill in Old San Juan, the Castillos are the way to go, and we thoroughly enjoyed del Morro. For a fit traveler, it's easy to access all areas of the castillo -- but expect lots of climbs, steps, narrow walkways and heights. During the rainy season, you may find yourself traipsing around the grounds in sunny skies only to have the skies open at the worst possible moment when there is no place to take cover. Don't worry -- it's just water. The nice thing is that your entrance fee will also cover your trip to Cristobal, though you will still have to stand in line to gain entrance. Look for the iguanas -- they like to sun themselves on the castle walls.

One of those historical sights that the kids took longer than the adults! It is very well preserved with much information, and wonderful views.
