My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our Puerto Rico trip and had a great time. It was a very eclectic hotel done in an artsy tasteful fashion. After 5 days of relaxation in Vieques, we were ready to get our dance on down in the Cafe Nuyorican downstairs. The music was excellent and we felt comfortable with our mediocre salsa skills. The location was great, right in the heart of Old San Juan. We actually never left OSJ because we had such a nice time exploring the area and appreciating all the architecture and art it has to offer.
I recommend exploring the forts. Also, we had excellent eats at Blessed Cafe (Chicken curry OMG), Pirilo Pizza Rustica, El Jibarito, and the old school diner-style breakfast at Cafeteria Mallorca (I think that's what it's called). Great area overall. And just beautiful.More
