If you come from a city with a good food scene, you will roll your eyes at this place. The menu is unnecessarily over complicated with more focus on how the food looks and how they describe it on the menu (on the verge is utter silliness) rather than how it tastes. There seemed to be way to much on the optics and not enough on the taste of the food itself.

The service ranged from downright angry (the bartender) to over formal (our server) to an overly pretentious overview of each plate when it came.

There is much better "food" in San Juan. Don't waste your time on this one. It's not worth the money.

What an awesome experience. Small quaint place. Our server Rachel was great. Big smile, explained everything, and was attentive. We did the six course tasting menu paired with wines. Each dish was sublime. The gnocchi with short ribs was heavenly. The finale was summer truffle ice cream paired with a 1980 vintage port . If you like truffles. Yum. Finally, the owner/chef Peter talked with us several times. A must try in San Juan. We Will be back

It's extremely disappointing to go to a restaurant you've raved about, only to return to food, service or ambience which has drastically changed for the worse. This is not the case at Marmalade.
Once again the food and service was outstanding. The ambience was still wonderful.
I highly recommend the Gnocchi with short ribs, lobster risotto, heirloom beets and pork cheeks which were delicious.
We will certainly return when we are in San Juan next time

I have to start of by saying "White Bean Soup"!!! The overall meal was excellent with exceptional service in what I'd consider a very up scale dinning room. My wife and I sat at the community table and met people from all over. Great time!! A must go!!!

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon dinner at Marmalade and overall it was a superb experience. The food and service were both outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place, the popcorn shrimp, foie gras, banana pudding and of course the white bean soup were out of this world! The chef even came out to our table. Great service, good food, highly recommended restaurant!
