Very nice beach, soft sand and blue waters. Beach might be a bit small (in width that is), but it still a very nice place to swim. lovely background with palm trees and other vegetation. Some days can be windy, but this is not a problem for swimmers as long as they don ot go beyond the bay limits. I saw some people doing water sports. really nice !

wow we had such a marvelous time enjoying this beautiful beach and bonus nearby quaint cafes and bars. The locals are very friendly and seemed like always willing to help visitors. I wish there weren't so many imported non native iguanas around the area and less garbage. It is a shame to have to see such natural paradise ruined by garbage and road kill iguanas. When visiting bring your own towels and plenty of sunscreen. You will fall in love with the area. Be ready for good all fun, relaxing, and romantic atmosphere.

We own condo in Dorado and enjoy our yearly visits to the island. The beach is right across the road so we take advantage of it first thing in the mornings and late evenings on days we are off exploring other sites and visiting family. This beach has wave breakers which make for a calm beach with very small waves which are great for our son who enjoys our daily visits to it. The sand is a little course and darker than most but it's great for building sand castles which we do very often as our son loves to create them. It has access to a food kiosk on the beach and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is very quiet during the week and off season and livens up on weekends during the summer beach months when the locals take to the beach; so you get the best of both worlds. We feel in love with this area; centrally located and the ocean water is great!

This is a good sized, quiet beach. It's out of the way, so it isn't crowded, but the presence of the nearby hotel makes it safe. It's a little dirty, but the water it's gorgeous, and the cove means great waves when the conditions are right.

Quiet & safe. The town of Dorado itself is one of the finest "quality of life" places in PR. You won't find pan handlers here. You will find opportunities for hot air balooning!
