This museum is definitely worth a trip. It has great grounds to see while you wait for a group to be ready to go into the house. You can not go through the house alone and will be going with a guided tour. You can not take pictures either, that was disappointing but totally understand. There are tours in English and Spanish which run one after another, with what appears to be 30 mins apart or so, we didn't wait for an English tour so I don't know how the experience was for that one. We took a Spanish tour since we spoke and understood Spanish. Our tour guide was very hospitable and the tour was very pleasant. Glad I took the trip up the hill to this location.

We toured the residence, Japanese Garden and the Cross. Beautiful collection of furniture and memorabilia. The tour guide was excellent and we chatted with him afterwards in the refreshment stand at the base of the Cross. I wish I could remember his name. He made our visit special. He recommended we visit the seaside boardwalk, which we did, and enjoyed live music and rum and cokes. Spend some time in the Japanese Garden. It was very relaxing and the breezes were welcome on a hot afternoon.

It has a great history but nothing too amazing about. It does have the great city view. For first timer, I think it's ok. I rather go to the beach...

This is a beautiful museum, with antique furniture, pics of sugar cane plantations owned by the Serralles.
