“Historic and charming place near the ferry.”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

This island capital is adorable and although many houses are not inhabited it gives one a feeling of what is was like. One post office, a few shops and restaurants and my favorite find is the fish market where you can buy fresh fish and huge lobsters once the fishermen arrive around 11 am or whenever the boats come in. Love love buying the lobster! Fish market is only open for about a couple of hours so go around 11. It is located after the ferry at the end of the pier.

“It has everything u need”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

It is a real Caribbean town with working locals. The zucolo was fine. It has some great restaurants and very good grocery stores. The locals are very kind to the hordes of tourists. A few pretty buildings and a lot of very rustic charm. I didn't want to hang out for hours but it was a very decent place to get groceries or eat.

“peaceful village”
Reviewed 26 March 2014

We enjoyed the authentic feel of Isabel. Many local restaurants and local residents which we enjoy rather than the "American" restaurants in Esperanza. Very friendly locals except a few of the rather crazy drivers.

“If you want authentica Carribeeanna?”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

Well, this is it. It's small, not much here, the people work for a living...what more do you want?! It's got a great town square and a semi-surly, but well-equipped fish market...go get some!!
