“Totally made my Caribbean vacation!!”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 via mobile

Not only is Saba a hidden gem but the Queens Garden staff was amazing!! They were most accomodating, gracious, and some of the most friendly people I have met thus far. Dinner in their private tree house is by far the most fabulous dinner experience I have had!! First class service, food, and atmosphere!! Claire is absolutely gorgeous and amazing and Duco was a charm everyday!! Thanks for the best experience and vacation!!!

Wonderful service, not just Claire, who is rightly praised in many other reviews, but the entire staff. Could not be a friendlier or more professional staff. Incredibly helpful with any and all travel needs throughout Saba. The attentiveness to detail and the personal touch helped make it more than an ordinary stay. Highly recommended.

If there would be a ranking of the best small hotels in the world, Queens Garden would end up high in the top 10, if not #1. It 's difficult to add anything more positive than the reviews already posted here. We came back to Queens Garden after first having visited last year July. It was more like visiting friends than staying in a hotel. The personal touch added to everything by Claire and Hidde is simply outstanding and it is obvious that their enthusiasm and professionalism is rubbing off on all their staff. The suites are the most beautiful you'll have ever seen, the food is first class. The best thing for us is the exceptional cooperation between Queens Garden and Saba Deep Diving Centre. Between them they coordinate and arrange things in a completely seemless fashion, so that all that is left for us to do, is ENJOY! Thanks again Claire and Hidde and everybody else. We'll be back!

Room Tip: You definitely want one of the rooms with a (huge) hot tub; there is no better relaxing after diving...

My wife and i stayed at the Queen's Garden Resort this past week. We had a wonderful stay there. As highlighted in many of the previous reviews, Claire was amazing, She took care of every detail we needed, whether it was reservations for dinner, taxi rides to Windwardside, or towels for our morning dive trips, she had everything down.

The views and the atmosphere nestled in the rainforest overlooking the Bottom, the mountains and the ocean in the distance were amazing. My wife thought it was like staying in a tree house!

The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. It truly was an amazing experience and we look forward to planning our next trip to Saba and Queen's Garden.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main building have full Ocean views. Rooms 9-12 have partial ocean views.

I stayed at Queen's Garden from May 1st through May 3rd this year. I was traveling with a group of 6 women and we had originally booked at the Shearwater Resort which unceremoniously closed in the middle of the night 2 weeks prior to our trip and I had to find somewhere else for us to stay. I was in a panic when I called Claire at Queen's Garden, and she was wonderful to me. She reassured me that she would be able to find us rooms and keep it in the same price range for us. We were already big fans of Claire before we even met her. Once we arrived, just as all the other reviews say, Claire was right there to greet us when we arrived in our Taxi from the airport. She and her staff treated us like family and we were thrilled with our suites. We ate breakfast and dinner both at the hotel, for the 2 nights and mornings we were there. The food was excellent and we felt no need to go anywhere else for food. The surroundings and the view are heavenly and so peaceful. We couldn't have started our vacation out in any better way. Thank you again to Claire and team for the service and sharing their lovely hotel with us. We will always remember our time there and look forward to another opportunity to visit.

Room Tip: They are building a Spa, which will only add to the perfect service of this boutique hotel.

Do I start by saying the owner's couldn't have been nicer if they tried? Or that their staff were even nicer than the owners, if that were possible? I'm not exactly certain, but I think I've made the point clear, except to say that we felt like we'd known the people at Queen's Garden for years and yet this was our first trip to Saba and our first stay at this hotel.

If it could get any better than their warm reception, it came in the form of an impromptu lunch, prepared for us after the kitchen had closed, by the owners themselves! Now, that's service! Two large and lovely platters of delicious (delicious!) assorted cheeses and sliced meats, accompanied by breads and the drinks of our choice...Rose', of course, and a good one, too, which we drank throughout our stay.

Next, an uninterupted lunch, following their single questions..."Will you be staying for dinner?" Yes, we did, and it was marvelous.

The following morning, we couldn't wait to get to the breakfast table to see what goodies were in store for us. What we found was everything we wanted, if we chose; eggs of all kinds, yogurts with mixed toppings, pancakes, meats, cheese (delicious, of course) and fresh squeezed OJ by the bucketful.

We took cocktails by the pool throughout the day and at their oceanview bar before dinner, where we met many of their friendly guests.

Some of our friends will exhude their experiences at the latest Four Seasons Resorts and the like; they've never been my cup of tea. They all look alike and are simply a part of a chain of hotels with too many rooms and not enough privacy - you can find them anywhere you look.

Not so on Saba and at the Queen's Garden which is family owned and operated; which shows. All in all, this was one of the most relaxing, refreshing and delightful experiences I've enjoyed at an island resort. It's not the Four Seasons...but I'm giving it four stars!

I hope you'll visit them, too.

Room Tip: Queen's Garden is in the process of building a lovely spa, which was not in operation at the tim...

Excellent, attentive but unobtrusive service. Claire is wonderful, making everyone feel like they are the most important guest in the hotel. Food was fantastic - on par with the best restaurants. The service and planning was managed seamlessly by the hotel, whether it was dinner reservations or diving, or a sunset cruise. A wonderful experience all around and can't wait to come back as soon as we can.

Room Tip: A small hotel with limited rooms. All are terrific.
