“A little piece of paradise - the Canadians.”

I stumbled upon this hotel purely by accident. What a find! A quiet, beautiful piece of paradise. The owners are attentive , helpful and gracious. They are there when you need them and give your privacy when you want it. Rooms are uniquely decorated and exceptionally clean. Definitely a great place to stay!

We loved our stay at Selera Dunia. Jenny is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and very hospitable and welcoming. She made a custom homemade breakfast every morning that was better than most 4-star level hotel breakfasts I've had. The balcony and view from the room were amazing, with views of the island on the left and the sea and quiet airport on the right. The Dutch room was spotless and well equipped, with a huge private bathroom.

Since Saba has very few mosquitos (and they love me so I know if they're there), it is great to leave the balcony door open for a nice breeze. It's a bit of a hike up the hill from the village, but there are rental cars and taxis available on the island. It is also pretty close to Shearwater Resort which I recommend for a sunset cocktail and dinner.

Everyone on the island knew of Selera Dunia and spoke well of it and the owners. Overall we loved Saba and Selera Dunia, and would definitely stay there again on our next visit.

I have been twice to selera dunia.both of the time it was excellent. I stayed in the dutch room. Just love that room. The view is great. You can see Mnt Scenery and the airport. Great to see the planes take off. The rooms are spotless. The breakfast is great. In my opinion one of the best places to stay on saba. And all for a very good price.

Selera Dunia Boutique Hotel is a two room hotel, where the rooms have a theme. It is in the village " windwardside" on the small island of Saba. The owner Hemmie van Xanten and his wife Jenny are very hospitable.
It is situated a bit away from the village, and you have to climb up the hill. Breakfast in the room is included. Beautiful view of town down below?
I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

What a truly beautiful location this is. We spent 3 days relaxing at this hotel half January. Such a peaceful, idyllic spot. We had a spacious deluxe Dutch colonial room with an amazing view of the Mount Scenery and the Caribbean Sea. It was as fabulous as it appeared on the website. Breakfasts, made by the owners themselves, and which were delivered to our room were perfect. The owners of the hotel were very friendly, helpful and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We made a fascinating rainforesty uphill climb on the Mount Scenery to get to the top and experienced the magnificent view that the highest point of the Dutch Kingdom has to offer. Selera Dunia Boutique Hotel is the perfect location to enjoy what Saba has to offer in a splendid structuren, surrounded by a breathtaking natural environment. We enjoyed our stay and the whole experience at the Selera Dunia Boutique Hotel and Saba was wonderful.
Many thanks for having us as your guests!

We (me, my wife and our son) spent three nights at this lovely Boutique Hotel. At present it has only two rooms available; we stayed in the one (the Iban) tastefully furnished with Southeast Asian artifacts; the other which looks equally appealing is furnished in Dutch classical style. Style is just the last of many good things. What counts far more is the comfort of the room, the beauty of the view, and the friendliness, and helpfulness of the hosts, Hemmie and Jennie went very much out of their way to make our stay a memorable one: this attention included an occasional ride (when they are not occupied in their jobs), to a trail head or to get groceries, and use of a washing machine for clothes muddy from a hike up Mt. Scenery.

So may little things were done well, including a fine breakfast prepared with imagination and a tranquil koi pond with water lilies. These little things combined to make us feel that our stay was as important to our hosts as it was to us and so we look forward to staying with Hemmie and Jennie again.

Lovely hotel. Stunning views on the Mount Scenery and surrounding villages of Windwardside and Zion's Hill. Beautiful rooms! Unique designs and interiors. An oasis of luxury and tranquility. It reminded me a lot of Bali. Hemmie and Jenny, the hosts, are wonderful. I can recommend it to the fullest. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. And a good choice for a romantic outing.
