“Snorkelling only”

Small beach, only really good for swimming. The sea turtles appear to swim along with you too making it that bit extra special
Parking limited.

“Nice small beach”
Reviewed 15 January 2014

We stayed at one of the few villas on Marigot Beach. The beach is very small and narrow, especially at high tide, so there is not much room to sunbathe if you don't have a villa there. There is second nice part of the beach but you have to navigate around a large stand of rocks to reach it. It is very quiet, with only a few beach goers visiting each day. The water is calm and nice for swimming and snorkeling. If you are staying in one of the villas, beware that the road is very close by and can be noisy at times. This beach is great for very affordable villas and for a short visit for swimming and snorkeling.

“no sharks in the morning”
Reviewed 17 May 2013

Well, we did not go far, so we don't know if you have to get deeper to see something? We went there for snorkeling. Supposedly we were going to be able to watch turtles, sharks, etc: Nada! we did not see anything so we left!

“Much to see!”
Reviewed 4 September 2012

My teenage daughter and I snorkeled at Marigot Beach. It's rocky, so be careful. However the rocks are great homes for sea life, so there's lots to see, including puffer fish and sharks.

I actually saw what turned out to be a nurse shark only about 8 feet down. Unprepared and at the time not knowing what kind of shark it was, we made a quick exit from the water. Turns out they mostly sleep during the day and only attack if provoked. I'd definitely go back again even though I'm not really the adventurous type!
