“Pretty beach with bar access”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

The bar called 'Do Brasil' is right next to this beach, but if there's a hippie haven in St Barth, this beach is it. I like Shell Beach, but it isn't for the sophisticated traveler who expects a Class A vacation.

“Only shell beach in St Barth”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Kids loved picking up shells of all kinds. This is one of the nice beaches of St Barth but it is not sandy. It is practically in Gustavia but when you reach the spot you feel you're far from everything. The restaurant Do Brasil is very good and worth the detour. On the week end of Easter people are allowed to camp on all beaches and this one was particularly animated, transformed into a giant party at sunset.

“A must see!”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

I don't think I've ever seen so many shells in my life. Took us a little while to find it, we ended up asking a few of the locals to point us in the right direction from the center of Gustavia .Turns out its very close.
If you have children they will love this beach, many people were picking up the sea shells and pebbles. Or just sitting in their lounge chair relaxing ,people watching. Refreshments and food are available nearby, and there is also a restaurant Do Brazil which has really good food. Having said that its also a Great place for a picnic?

“Beautiful beach, great people watching, wonderful restaurant”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

We took a day trip to St. Barths from St. Maarten and walked to Shell Beach. Rented a couple chairs and umbrella (56 US) and thoroughly enjoyed the day. The beach is made up of the most beautiful, small, sea shells. The restaurant, Do Brazil, is great. The tuna tartar with avocado mousse was amazing!.
This is a great spot to people watch, yachts stop, dingy's come in, etc. Had a wonderful day.

“Small but worth a visit”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

Shell beach is one of the smallest on St Barts but it does have the best shells if you want to spend an hour or so shell picking and is just minutes from the centre of Gustavia. Do Brazil is on the beach but we have had very variable eating experiences there.
