“Anne Marie's Beach Bar (south end- opposite end to sandals)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2013

Cold beers, amazing fresh food and a big slice of island life. If we want to mix with locals and just spend a while filling you belly and smiling, then this is the place for you. There is no rush to do anything - but everything is worth the wait. Deadly spiced rum, beastly cold pitons and fresh catch of the day. The mango/papaya sauce (secret ingredient is love, according to Marie) is fantastic. We spent most our lunchtimes during our holidays here with our friends. Thank you Marie, Mary-Beth, Petra, Chris and everyone else for looking after us

“Great views of pigeon island from beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2013 via mobile

We liked the beach. We walked from bay gardens and were given free lounge chairs and we enjoyed the view of the various boats and mountains. There were a few vendors but they were polite and non aggressive. Also there was a lot of security who seemed to be checking to see if vendors were bothersome

“Beautiful sunset pictures from this beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2013

This beach offers two-in-one:is busy, full of energy ,especially after 10am till 3pm, on those days when few cruise ships resting in Castries, full of cruise ship passengers....and quiet ,,empty ..back to normal ,with only few, locals and nearby hotel guests, spread on mile long stretch of beige coloured sand beach, with calm torquise waters. This beach is easy to enter and exit, on fine sand, only in some places you can feel some pebbles. After 5pm, this beach is a treat for your eyes, especially after the rain, when clouds.are coloured into different shades of red. Spectacular sunsets...are FREE of charge...Do not bother yourself with taking photos, they would not be as beautiful as your memories...I tried several times, and gave up...just enjoy the views...

“OK Beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2013

We made a day trip here from a cruise. Have to say it was our least favorite day of 6 ports. Highest priced chairs and umbrellas of any place we went. My sister-in-law and I both bought a necklace hoping to stave off the relentless vendors. We paid $20 each, then found the same necklaces at the duty free area just off the ship for $8 each. Oh well, chalk it up to a contribution to the local economy. If only it had done the trick and helped keep the others away. Even when we said we had already made purchases we had persistently annoying vendors. If you don't keep the bottom of your lounge chair full they will just sit down and settle in.Bathroom is available if you make a purchase at Spinnakers.

“OK beach, a lot of annoying vendors.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 February 2013

Of the five beaches we have visited during our cruise, this one was the least enjoyable: it was just OK. Too many people (including those playing loud music next to us), vendors constantly trying to sell you stuff. Next time, if there is one, we will go elsewhere.
