We enjoyed a lovely holiday in late September at the Bel Jou Hotel.
We were in the main hotel block which was comfortable with nice views and was well looked after by your cleaning staff.
We thought the hotel overall was excellent but the most outstanding feature was the wonderful staff including the very charming and hard working General Manager Dean La Force They were always kind, courteous, helpful and polite with nothing being too much trouble for them. We were very impressed with their dedication and professionalism particularly when Storm Kirk hit the island and the way they looked after their guests.
All of the staff were exceptional but we particularly appreciated Jafral and enjoyed his stretching classes, aqua classes and the other events he organized to keep us amused and entertained during our stay.Evening entertainment was fairly low key but suitable and appropriate for the hotel clientele.
There are two nice pools which were always spotlessly clean and well maintained, the lower one offering a self service drinks arrangement.
The food was very good and varied and the drinks offered were well known brands..
The only minor downside is that as the hotel is built on a hill there are lots of stairs which some elderly or less mobile guests may find rather difficult.
Well done Bel Jou and we shall certainly visit again.More
