What a faultless holiday! From the moment we arrived the Beauty of st Lucia and the people hits you straight away. The Hotel is right on the beach, we were lucky to have a sea view from our room.
We went all inclusive, great value, 5 restaurants to choose from, Upper Deck being our favorite.
We went on a day trip on a Catamaran, great day out, however they do stop off at a cove where you get off to explore the springs and volcano for about two hours, unless your really into that sort of thing I would advise staying with the boat and eating in the local village.
We stayed there 2nd week of January, the resort was fairly quite which was lovely. I imagine peak season would get very busy with children.
7 days not long enough in Paradise!

Room Tip: Ask for a Sea view

We stayed here for 2 weeks in February wanting a nice and peaceful holiday whilst spending the odd day exploring. This was probably not the best place to stay for that. The meals at lunch and dinner were good and the staff were friendly all the time. Unfortunately the complex is very big and was pretty much full at the time we went so the beach was crowded everyday. Personally I like a beach with less crowd, where I can relax listening to the sound of the sea reading a good book, but this was not to be. The island was somewhere I had wanted to visit for over 20 years and was not disappointed when traveling around.
The accommodation was excellent and the plunge pool in the villa was ideal. Although I cannot fault windjammer as such, unfortunately for me paying all that money for 2 weeks inclusive of 'more noise than I expected' is my only fault with the place - and perhaps a lick of paint here and there.

Room Tip: Get one with a plunge pool

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get this great resort on a trade from RCI in September 2011. We had a great one bedroom villa and the best part was the balcony. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate breakfast and lunch at our villa and had dinner on one of the resort properties. I have frequently gone to timeshares and bring normally a suitcase of food and things from home, the grocery stores and food aren't always what you expect.
We did an excursion to the Pitons which is a must do! The island is complete paradise.
We just booked our next trip to Windjammer in September 2013 and ironically its the same week as last time. We also met two couples and we are all rendezvousing there. As a bonus on our first trip we came home with an unexpected souvenir, our son!
I am really looking forward to going back as a family.

We arrived on Christmas day for a 10 night stay and our daughters wedding was arranged for the 31th December. Everything went to plan we had a lovely 3 bedroomed villa which was cleaned everyday and had everything we needed. The food and service at all restaurants was great. Our 8 year old grandaughter went to the childrens club and loved it we saw very little of her she was so busy doing other things. My daughter hired a nanny somedays to look after her other younger children she was lovely and so helpful. My daughter has a wonderful wedding on the beach everyone who was involved from the Windjamer helped make it a day to remember. We all loved our stay and would return. We will never forget the lovely views from our villa or the lovely staff we met. Thank you Windjammer.

This is a fantastic place to stay,we were in a one bedroom suite in the Hibiscus building. Beautiful view from our room, probably one of the nicest views I have seen. Jacuzzi on the balcony which was a lovely touch. The room was equipped with air conditioning and a washing machine which came in handy as we have two young children.
The staff are lovely, very friendly and accommodating, the food is great quality and there is plenty of choice.
The kids club is fantastic! My children have never before wanted to take part in the kids club stuff, they have been on horse riding trips, to the mini zoo here and enjoyed lots of evening activities allowing us the chance to have a quiet dinner.Special mention to Gale,Sharon,Kissie and Sunshine, who are fantastic with the children. The water sports facilities and staff are also worth mentioning as some of the highlights of the trip were the snorkelling trips and sailing lessons. The only slight issue is that the beach is not that long. We went in the first 2 weeks of January and the first week was quite crowded. the second week was much quieter and very easy to find a nice spot.

Room Tip: I would pick to stay in a none ground floor hibiscus suite room, especially with children,it's c...

My husband my 10 month old and i spent 2 weeks at the beginning of December.

Good things:
-the people at the hotel were super accommodating, we asked them to give us n enclosed villa to avoid mosquito bites with our baby and they upgrade us to a 2 bedroom villa which was fully air conditioned and really comfortable. They also made sure our villa had an easy access, as we needed to be able to get there with the pram.
- (( for people going there with babies)) the hotel provided us with a baby cot, a baby bath and a high chair which made our live much more easy, i also notice that the villa had safety gates in all the stairs which i,m assuming you can request if you have an older baby. In all the restaurants we found high chairs and the waiters were very accommodating with the baby. The kitchen is fully equip, microwave, taster, juicer, mixer, we brought all baby food from UK but you could easily prepare it there , just be ready to spend a small fortune in the supermarkets.
- the hotel is very clean, the beach its perfect for kids and babies as its very shallow, not much shade but you can go when the sun isn,t super strong.

Things to improve:

The menu at the restaurants needs a bit of work, the food its good but nothing fancy. The best thing for me was the fish, they had the catch of the day which was changing every day but the side dishes were always the same sad steam vegetables. If you go all inclusive you end up a bit bored of the food.
Ii will seriously encourage them to review their menus, they have grate potential they just need to work a bit more on presentation and the side dishes. Overall The quality of he food is good.

Bad things

- if you dont go all inclusive the price are ridiculously expensive ( almost a joke)
- taxi prices are again a joke, but that is in all st lucia
- supermarkets are very very very expensive so bring everything from home
( baby related stuff, nappies, wipes food...super expensive. Just as an example, first day we went down to the supermarket to buy:
1 package of wipes
1 package of nappies 25 unit ( pamppers)
1 box cereals
1 uht milk
Box of nuts
Total 70 usd

Overall we enjoyed our stay, we would recommend the place if you a looking for a nice relaxing, family holiday.

Room Tip: We stay at villa num 2, 2 bedroom illa.it has easy access to the main areas. It hd amazing views an...

We have been coming to this wonderful and luxurious resort for many years. Many times you come to a wonderful hotel, then when you return the next time it is a notch down and many times the down spiral continues. NOT SO WITH WINDJAMMER, every time we revisited Windjammer Landing it was improved. The villas are tastefully furnished and equipped, most have a small pool. The island itsels is beautiful and the people are charming. I hope we can make it back soon.
