well we could not fault this resort and hotel the location is second to non and the staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. The food was excellent and service prompt on most occasions. Nona our beach bar attendant was always there with a smile and Barry at the main bar too. The restaurant and front desk staff equally helpful and cheerful. A special mention too for the wonderful landscaping by all the ground staff. well done Windjammer.

We just got back from a week on St. Lucia. We stayed at the Windjammer which was a splurge for us, but it was definitely worth it. We chose the all inclusive plan and with 5 really good restaurants to choose from we never got tired. The resort is very family friendly, but also offered lots of opportunities for couples to find quiet places to relax. Get spa, ask for Pamela.

Room Tip: This resort is built on a steep hill. they provide shuttles to and from rooms and villas, but is you...

We had an amazing time and really appreciated everything Melanie and Lynn did for us as far as the wedding planning went. They were very attentive and top notch....We were pleased with our villa, however, it was a bit out dated in terms of style. However, we weren't really there to stay in the room all day--the water sports and the views were what drew us in. I would suggest bringing bug spray. We really enjoyed sitting out by our pool at night drinking wine, but we got bit by some bugs. We were fine with a little Benadryl, but wish we would have brought stuff and applied before. But we enjoyed the private pool in our room daily. Every single staff member we encountered was amazing from the shuttle drivers to the servers. I know they are going to be renovating soon and the location of the new villas looks amazing. Right on the beach where we eloped. We plan on coming back once they open those b/c its prime location right on the beach. Most places in St. Lucia are up on the mountains, so the new spot for the new villas will be perfect. Our wedding was amazing. We had a private dinner in the gazebo and the chuppa and flowers were all beautiful. The only negative was that beach goers were about 50 feet away taking pictures and starring. It didn't really bother us b/c we only noticed each other, but some people may want it to be more private. I understand they really can't shut down the entire beach at sunset, but I just was a lil surprised b/c I thought they would push the people back further. If I have a suggestion it would be to definitely get a large villa with private pool. The food was good, but we did the all inclusive. We didn't have children, but I could see how expensive it would get if you have kids who probably wouldn't eat their value, but for us, it was perfect. All the drinks and food were delish and the best fresh seafood. Plus, there was the lil market store at the resort so we were able to purchase additional snacks, goodies and necessities we forgot to pack. All in all, this was the best day of our lives and we are so happy we got to enjoy it in such a beautiful place. We plan on going back, even possibly this year!!

When we first stepped out of the cab onto Windjammer Landing we were met with kindness, warmth and friendliness and this continued for the following fourteen days, with utmost consistency, from everyone! A special thanks to housekeeping Eleanor Renee & Christiana, shuttle drivers Terry & Davidson, Esie at the front desk, activities personal Manasseh & Stacy, Barry at Jammer's, driver JJ, Linus Joseph and Mark Ozawa. We frequently travel and have never encountered such genuine hospitality from everyone including security, maintance and restaurant personal. Our Estate villa was beautiful, accommodating and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We would highly recommend this resort.

I was fortunate to win a Trivia prize to Windjammer Landing on Live with Kelly and Michael in April 2013.
When I booked our trip for March 7-13 this year, I had only requested a king size bed.
Upon checking in, the clerk said we had a queen room and to see our "ambassador" in the morning to upgrade to a king room as they were full and had no other room for us.

We were shown to a room that was not in any way like the rooms advertised on the show or on-line.
We were very unpleasantly surprised to find a tiny, old, uncomfortable and not very clean room, (see pictures). (My rating applies to the first two days, the last four were in a nicer room, finally.)

The light in the small closet didn't work, also the light in the entryway, it was a good thing we didn't plan to unpack since we thought we would be moving in the morning.

I found our "ambassador", Charlene the next morning, and though she was a very nice lady she told us they couldn't do anything about the room because they were 101%(?) booked, but she would try. I checked back with her twice and finally asked to see the manager.
I said we wouldn't stay in a room like that anywhere else and why would we do it there since our package is supposed to be valued at $7,800.00.

I talked to the reservations manager Toye Lawrence, who told me we would have to stay one more night in the room and then they would move us to something nicer when someone checked out.
They did do this the 3rd day, and the room was much nicer with a comfortable king bed, although still not nearly as nice as depicted in their
advertising. see advertising http://www.windjammer-landing.com/accommodations#ocean-view

My question to them was since I booked in early November why was I not given that room or another like it to begin with? Also the restaurants and beach were not busy at all so it's hard to believe they were full as they said.

I'm writing this to let you know how they treated us and hopefully no one else will get the same unpleasant surprise that we did. They were not honest in the fulfillment of their promotional prize. Even after being moved to the second room, this was NOT a $7,800.00 package but that's what I have to pay taxes on.
We did have a nice time on the trip after the first 2 nights, the food was good.
I believe they did this to us because we won the trip, because they asked us how we paid for it.
Just beware what kind of room they put you in. Look at it before you check in.

We found Windjammer Landing about 4 years ago through a travel agent when we were looking for a Family Spring Break option for our 19 year old. All 3 of us fell in love immediately with the island and the people. We were warmly welcomed by the staff as if we had already been friends. Our accommodations were wonderful and our view of the St Lucia sunsets couldn't have been better.

Although we have NEVER considered a "time share" option, we were curious about their Private Residence Club. Needless to say, we purchased a week in the Hibiscus Suite which we will enjoy for many years. At this point we have been there 5 times and have never been disappointed. We are always greeted by the staff with a smile and a "welcome back". We have met wonderful friends over the years that are also "repeaters".

There are lots of options to explore the island by sea, jeep or taxi. For those that wish to just remain in the resort, there are water sports, a spa, pools, daily activities and a wonderful beach. Likewise, the resort has 5 dining options but there are also many fabulous restaurants off site. They also have a kids club for children over the age of 4 or a nanny service for those that are younger.

Many units have full kitchens, washer and dryers and private pools. Every unit we have stayed in comes with an amazing view.

RCI trade to Windjammer. Alot of points, but it worked out well. Incredible Vista from the Suite, as well as a good sized private pool. Which is great, because you want to be comfortable in your suite...the trip up and down the mountain requires a shuttle (unless you are doing the climb as a workout). We were very happy to be stuck up at the suite. We had a 3 bedroom which was almost too big. The covered patio overlooking the ocean was magnificent (ask for Unit 407).
Food is expensive but good. The all inclusive is expensive, and if you aren't hard core drinkers, is tough to capitalize on. I'd suggest giving it a 3 day run of all -inclusive (the minimum you can do) and pick 3 days that you are going to stay on site, eat all your meals (with dinners at Upper Deck), do your water sports, and let the kids order all the virgin pina's they want. (ordering the breakfast as room service-omelettes- is a great idea with these units). Then take a break from gorging yourself and eat in the room mostly after that and take a day trip. The Jammer Day sail is good value. The Tram and Zip line too.
Caution...if your main goal for your vacation is to take long beach walks...then this isn't for you. The beach is small and the water not all that clear. But its still nice and sandy and there is a lot else going on...its always trade-offs.
Compared to alot of resorts we have been to, the management here really seem to be trying hard to please the guests...and they are getting buy-in from the staff...which is where it really shows. They are all helpful and friendly.
