Third time to ST Lucia, second time at Windjammer. I have been to five Caribbean Islands and st lucia is by far my favourite. The people are lovely the food is great and the accommodation is always fantastic. The majority of the staff are excellent, I will say though that sometimes it comes across that if the staff feel/know your not giving a tip they will not work to the highest of there ability and will focus on customers that are going to tip.
During our family holiday we stayed in a 2 bed villa it was amazing couldn't have asked for anything better, well worth the money.
The chamber maid 'Christiana Joseph' was the loveliest member of staff during our time away, she helped us with anything and was very knowledgable not only that she was very nice to talk to. I do hope windjammer management read this and appreciate her hard work. Great employee from what we experienced. Accommodation was always clean and looked after. Thank you Christiana for being so great.

Overall Windjammer is a fantastic resort and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to go away for leisure with family and friends.

See you next year windjammer

We booked Windjammer specifically 1. to have onsite activities for all the family (2 adults, 2 tweens) 2. staying in a beautiful location (where we already knew the area) 3. with direct easy flights from London 4. that isn't a concrete hotel block run by a multinational where sometimes you could be anywhere in the world. Windjammer ticked all the boxes for us.
Agree completely with M W's review - good range of trips organised by onsite tours desk, with option to organise bespoke family trips too. We did Whale watching (also saw a turtle swimming) and the boys did Deep Sea fishing, catching barracuda and marlin, both recommended. Watersports well organised, waterskiing a great extra and does not impede swimming / snorkelers, also extras for the older children include snorkelling trips, tube rides and a climbing and trampoline inflatable in the swimming area.
Daily kids activities they can dip in and out of, including evening ones (e.g. cinema night, disco night) allowing parents to dine by themselves if they wish. Thanks to Gail and the Childrens Organisers. Air conditioned Games room, beach chess set (missing 2 pieces please!) ...and equally importantly....wifi works pretty much everywhere except extreme end of beach, in our experience, which keeps everyone happy when you need some shade rest.
4 restaurants all good. I disagree with those who felt breakfast was a substandard buffet - it catered for all tastes / ages, expanding small tastebuds with different jams / pancakes / breads, and I saw no one looking unhappy with the choice. There is a menu as well for those who dislike buffets, to be table served. We took others advice on this site and chose All Inclusive. It makes meal times easy when you're not checking the price of the food (although I don't think anything was over priced, and all menus with prices are available on their website so you can check prices first and work out what meal plan works best for your party). We pre booked the first few days dinners, I would recommend this if a busy period and you want / need to eat earlier. Papa Dons and Upper Deck very good - but we loved the Dragonfly Carribean buffet night. All drinks very good. 3 beach bars seems sufficient, and I never had to wait to be served anywhere. Ice cream shack a hit with the children. An especial thank you to Nona, running that bar by herself every day, for making those Virgin Strawberry daiquiris for my daughter every day.
This is a 'safe' resort for families, a lot of waiting staff, informed reception staff, security patrolling regularly, gardeners at work all day, and I have no complaints with housekeeping who were faultless, and the shuttle crew are marvellous, continually ferrying guests, buggies, and inflatable pool toys around. You rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes. And thank you to the English family with older kids who let us jump in the shuttle first one evening. That kind of sums up the other guests - I was worried there would be loud braying family groups, it's a quieter, friendly place, mainly UK / US / Canadian guests, with a large percentage of repeat holiday makers / time share owners.
Accommodation - we opted for the ocean rooms which interconnect (vertically, so it's basically a duplex). Children had terrace downstairs bedroom / en suite ; we had room / ensuite upstairs (internal staircase) and then up to a very private roof terrace. We would recommend this configuration for tweens+ the tiled stairs would be tricky for sub 5s. I think everyone has an ocean view. I looked at the Hibiscus Suites - staff explained they only have king beds so not ideal for chidden wanting their own bed. Ideal for couples, very nice accommodation. The other villas are scattered up the hillside; that means between 5 mins walk up a hill or a shuttle up 3 hairpins, where you really wouldn't walk up. 1 bed suites near Papa Dons / very quiet pool / spa would be another good couples choice (5 mins walkable).
We all had a great time - and didn't even leave the front gate for 12 days (most other people did, you can rent a car for a day from reception). As a benchmark for a tropical beach holiday with a lot of activities thrown in, at a fair price for the level of accommodation / facilities, that's accessible with direct flights US / Canada / UK, in a really lovely setting, this is a hard one to beat, I think.

This was our third time at Windjammer. We stayed in a Hibiscus Suite, with a view right over the sea. It was fantastic. Each suite has a large fridge/freezer and good cooking facilities and there are lots of good restaurants on the resort if you don't want to bother cooking. The beds are large and very comfortable, with good sized shower and bathroom. Lots of fluffy towels and good housekeeping. The staff are so friendly, they really do seem to want you to enjoy yourself. We saw over 20 pilot whales and some dolphins on the "Whale & Dolphin" trip. The Serenity Spa gave us great facials and massage. The one thing I do not like is that on the bill in bars & restaurants there is a 10% service charge but then there is also another category for a 'tip' on the bill. That is a bit embarrassing, because the staff are so lovely and when you sign the bill, you feel pressure to not ignore them in that way. That stops me giving 5-stars.

Room Tip: We loved the Hibiscus Suites.

Just returning to the uk after an amazing holiday at Windjammer Landings. It was all we hoped for and lots more.
Firstly the location is like an oasis, wonderful scenery and a beautifully kept idyllic cove. Our villa was superb with an amazing view over the bay. The kids loved the watersports, especially the waterskiing which they mastered after a great lesson from Dilan. All the team at the watersports were so helpful and worked so hard to keep the equipment in great shape and the equipment rotas in full flow - special mention to kelcent, Gordon, Kurt, colletta, Dilan, Ezra, and Winston who made our holiday a joy.
The food in all restaurants was wonderful in terms of choice and quality and all the staff were brilliant especially Oswaldine the "queen of the Caribbean".
All the staff were incredibly helpful, positive and cheerful.
The beach is stunning with palm back drop, impeccably clean and very safe for little-ones.
Thanks all for a wonderful holiday we hope to come back again soon.

We stayed at this lovely resort for three days before hopping on three-masted schooner to sail around the islands. The resort is great, well done with many fine resturants. The staff extremely helpful and knowldgeable. There are several swimming pools for all ages and a great beach. Definitely will return for a longer time as soon as possible.

I think this place was the biggest disappointment ever for us.
An outdated room, very poor food, the head chef used to love siting behind the beach restaurant with his mini ipad every lunchtime and the evening meal options after trying twice made us go out.
Only tried breakfast, upper deck and jammers.
Breakfast was an awfully bad cheap kind of experience with an outdated self service area.
The barman was drunk one Saturday afternoon, eyes all bulging and talking rubbish.
I could go on, save your money and upgrade your resort to a better one.
Most of the staff were in fairness very nice and did their best.
More of a holiday camp for those with children, not a nice place for couples.
It is very child oriented so that may be why we felt like fish out of water.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the best available room you can afford. Hibiscus are the best .
