The hotel is small and quaint and sooo relaxing. The staff was outstanding - they helped us plan day trips - they cooked a meal for us at the Villas - they even brought me a cake for my birthday! The rooms were clean and spacious and very comfortable. And we all enjoyed the little pool right outside our door. Cannot say enough good things about it. Highly recommend you stay with them if you want to avoid the "all-inclusive, don't-leave-the-compound" approach of places like Sandals (which is right down the street).

VBC was the perfect way to spend our 7 nights in St. Lucia. Everything you can read about in the other reviews about how helpful the staff is, etc., is spot on. The great thing about VBC (or one of them) is that we did a bunch of activites around the island on most days and had dinner reservations most nights, but for the nights when we were tired and wanted to just hang in we could just run to the store and BBQ back at the villa. The Walcott suite is particularly beautiful and I strongly recommend requesting it if it's available. Do the full day tour to the south of the island and have lunch at dashene-it's spectacular and surpsingly reasonable.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. We were greeted warmly, the owner, Colin Hunte, sat down with us and shared the history of the hotel, and island and all of the best things to do and see. The room (upstairs villa) had a high ceiling, everything was clean, full kitchen, beautiful 4-post bed, nice patio. We could borrow a BBQ, rent snorkel gear or a kayak. We had a rental car which is essential so you can travel the island at your own pace. There were kittens running all over the place. The only thing we didn't really like about the place was there weren't many restaurants in the immediate area. There is one next door, but we found the hours were inconvenient.

Room Tip: Rent a villa upstairs - the ceiling was great.

This was my first trip to St Lucia & the Villa Beach Cottages. Villa Beach is wonderful. Our rooms were on the second floor; therefore, we had a perfect view of the beach & sea. It seemed as we had our own private beach since the cottages weren't full. October was a perfect time to visit! The owner & staff made us feel like family. Everyone was very friendly & very helpful. I highly recommend the Villa Beach Cottages!

I've stayed at Villa Beach Cottages a half dozen times. Very friendly reservation and front desk staff (They are one and the same). Good location if you have activites in Castries or Rodney Bay area. Clean rooms...the suites are quite nice and have everything you need to cook. Nice area to relax by the beach, including a pool and jacuzzi with small rock waterfall...all are always clean. I only drank a quarter bottle of my St Lucian rum one trip so they recovered it and put it in my refrigerator for the next four trips until I finished it...this stretched over about a year! I put another bottle there this last trip to see if it happens again. I usually have them arrange to pick me up at SLU when I arrive and then rent a car from them. These cars are priced right and in great shape and you can drop them at the airport on your way out for no extra charge.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms - great view of the Caribbean Sea

We really, really enjoyed staying here. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, and the accommodations were outstanding. The location is not ideal, as there's not much around the hotel itself except for a Sandals resort and a small restaurant (that could close any day now, but has great food). However, the local mini buses are cheap and easy to use, and there are two grocery stores within easy walking distance, so if you're willing to provision your room's kitchen and eat most of your meals there, you're in great shape.

Room Tip: The 'deluxe' rooms are right on the beach.

Our stay at the Villas was comfortable, relaxing and safe, just as we read about and planned. Upon arrival at Hewanorra Airport, Villa staffer Austen, picks us up from the Airport for the 1 ½ hour drive to Castries. What a nice way to arrive at a destination that you’re not familiar with. He was like a tour guide pointing out places of interests as well as history about the Island, a real jewel. Upon entering the property, this first thing that struck me was how immaculate the grounds were kept, as well as the outside of the units. They say, first impression are lasting one and this was so true. Colin Hunte, the proprietor, and his Staff ensured all our needs were taken care of. While not a 5 Star Occidental Hotel, this was a great privately owned property for a quarter the cost. Our Villa was as we expected, clean, well appointed and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen and daily maid service added to the over all ambiance of relaxation and comfort. Staff will set up gas grills on your porch for grilling. We did not cook while there but others did enjoy the amenity. Sitting on the lanai and enjoying the beauty of bay while reading or snoozing will be missed. Flora and fauna abounded whilst being beach side on Choc Bay. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. 24/7 security was onsite, but for the most part out of sight. Crime is extremely low on the Island but some panhandling happens along the beach. I guess security handles this sort of thing but for the week we stayed, I never saw any issues. (as it should be).
I do suggest renting a vehicle from the Villas as well. Price was the best on the Island as well knowing that the place you’re staying at is also the rental agency. You know they wouldn’t give you a substandard car. (BIG PLUS) Driving was fun and challenging due to driving on the left side. Most roads were narrow compared to the US. Except for some places along the coast, most roads went over mountains and had hire pin curves. It’s no wonder why it takes 1 ½ hours from the Airport going only 41 miles.
I guess the bottom line is that we will return to the Beach Villa’s, probably the best deal going on the Island.
