get out of the car and have a proper look around, stunning views and lots of re-used historical buildings put to modern and education use.

It's very close to the Landings resort. Good base for the SNUBA excursion. We were able to see a small spotted eel, starfish, spiny sea urchin, octopus, sea horse and different coral and colorful fish. It was also an interesting landmark to hike and photograph. Many signs were displayed portraying the history of the fort. Wear a hat and good hiking shoes and take your time exploring and enjoying the view from the top of the fort.

The history behind the fort is interesting but what for me was more inspiring was that it was one womans vision to bring it back from an overgrown piece of land to what it is now. An inspiration to all.

Interesting - good for a short visit and an appreciation of the island's history.

The trip here was included on one of the excursions from Saga. It didn't interest me all that much but you have to wonder how all of the heavy guns were hauled up those hills.
