We spent last week at this fantastic resort. We played golf at a short, tricky, but very nice golfcourse. The greens were good and difficult to read. Our caddie, Dave, was very capable.

We also spent some time on The beach. IT was very clean and comfortable. The beach service was perfect.

The service in the restaurants and bars was friendly and good in old Sandal spirit.

The rooms, we stayed in two different, are very comfortable and well equipped.

The service from the butler team was impeccable. Thanks to Vinshal, Barkus, Ficus, you made our week, especially after the small accident at the enda of the week

The food, however, leavs room for improvment.

Room Tip: We had a room with butler service, which was well worth it.

For any of you who read all my entries you will know my last entry was a complaint about Sandals Royal Bahamian. This complaint took many emails, phone calls and far too long to resolve in my opinion. But I decided to give Sandals another chance as I have always had such good holidays with them before. I have just recently returned from my favourite resort Sandals La Toc in St. Lucia. My conclusion is if you want to experience a holiday as Sandals advertise then St. Lucia is the place to go. I believe they will do everything they can to live up to the phrase you constantly hear them say ‘Welcome Home’. Although we stayed at La Toc, Carl the general manager at the Grand made the evening of my sister’s birthday one she will never forget. Having said that, everyone at La Toc made her feel special all day too. Do not think you have to be celebrating a special occasion for this to happen at La Toc everyone wants each day to feel like a special event. Now for a few name checks, I can honestly say this list could be endless but here are a few :-
Jeanna – As always looked after us completely
Ricky – Made sure we will ‘Soon Come Back’
Miquel – Made us smile everytime we saw him
Moise – The French themed La Toc restaurant is always amazing under his guidance
Abraham – The Cricketers was a great place to visit thanks to him
Niecer – Words fail me, she is just an amazing girl, Sandals are lucky to have her, please do not over look what a talented driven girl this is, from her wonderful hair right down to her amazing feet!
Michael – The general manager but to us a very very good friend.
In short if you want a holiday you will never forget with people who want you to have that special holiday the Sandals La Toc is the place to go. I would just like to thank everyone at La Toc again for a wonderful holiday and we will ‘Soon Come Back’!

Room Tip: Rooms a little away from the main pool are quieter.

Sandals offers an excellent package if you want to get married & have your honeymoon at the resort. The Wedding office staff was fantastic - super helpful and made great suggestions - we had issues with paperwork and they bent over backwards to make sure everything went smoothly. Ceremony locations, ceremony itself , flowers, cake , pictures -all excellent wouldn't have changed a thing. The resort is older but neat & clean with lovely lush landscaping. I was surprised how hilly the resort was -some of units are at the top of a huge steep hill , not an easy walk - just be sure to look at resort map before booking.
We stayed in 2 level butler suites which were very comfortable and clean-great balcony overlooking beach - bathroom is small and very basic. I highly recommend the butler service - from making dinner or activity reservations , to bringing you room service or reserving pool chairs it is so worth the extra money. Our butlers were excellent -attentive but not obtrusive.
The beach is not huge but still plenty of room-and the waters can be rough but we still could swim most of the days - the staff said the Grande was the beach to visit.
Food was great - La Toc & Kimonos were tops - also check out the Cricketeer Pub - fun place
Be aware the resort is 1.5hrs bus ride from airport -bus is super clean & nice - the roads are hilly and windy but some great views!

Room Tip: Parts of the resort are very hilly and it is a long tough walk to the upper buildings - be sure you...

First time at a Sandals and I was blown away by the experience. The food was amazing - so many a la carte restaurants and the staff was wonderful. Le Piton was our favourite, incredible pork tenderloin and jerk chicken and we finished our visit with a night at Kimonos which i'd highly recommend.
Our room was gorgeous and never had trouble finding a spot on the beach or by the pool to catch some sun.

Room Tip: Emerald suites are a bit of a trek up a hill but are quiet and spacious

My husband and I got married here in 2011 and it is a beautiful resort on a gorgeous island. The room was wonderful and the food is really good. They also offer a good selection of wine, beer and mixed drinks. The beach is awesome too. The only problem was that they lost ALL of our wedding photos and were unable to recover them from their database..they said they had all of their IT staff looking at trying to recover them and they were unable to do so. They wound up offering us a free three night stay at any Sandals resort to compensate us, but we couldn't afford the airfare within the 12 month period before their offer expired so we really didn't get compensated.... it would have been nice if they had offered to cover our flights too. But I would still recommend it as a good all inclusive resort, just maybe don't get married there.

Just returned from a short trip to La Toc with a group of three couples. The resort is very nice, extremely well run and spotless. The staff is amazing and they really go out of there way to be nice to you. Food is very good especially Armondos Italian, the Japanese Hibachi has below average food and the service was poor. I think we were his last table and he wanted to get out of there quickly.

If you are beach people you need to stay at The Grand they have a nice beach. La Toc beach is closed every day and there are some sailboats there for show. The surf is rough with major riptides. Was speaking with a staff member and he told me someone had recently drowned there. OK no big deal take the 30 minute shuttle to The Grand. Sometimes the 30 minute ride was an hour. We were also left at The Grand on day one. We were told there were no more shuttles after the second had left at 5PM so either wait til 7PM or take a cab. We took the $54 cab ride back. Not much organization with the shuttle rides at either place more like herding cattle to the slaughter house. The disappointing thing was i was under the impression you could actually use the La Toc beach and water sports. I think they are misleading customers with this detail.

If you don't get butler service you will not get a chair at the pool at La Toc. Even if you wake up at 6AM and get a chair you may arrive to find out a Butler moved your towels for a guest so you are out of luck. Also you won't get into the French restaurant without a Butler making the reservations.

They need to have more action going on at night maybe a DJ in the pool area. Thing end early there.

Overall the place is beautiful set on the side of a mountain. Very hilly and you my need mountain goats to get to your room if you stay in the butler suites. I would not go back to La Toc but The Grand was really nice.

Room Tip: Stay by the main pool closer to the action and you don't have to trek up the mountain.
