We had a fabulous stay over Christmas in St Lucia & at Calabash Cove, at first jet lagged and tired we arrived to a warm welcome with rum punch and directed to the services available to us. The room was central to our stay and the view was amazing, some slight problems with the water pressure with our shower meant it did not work unless it let very hot & steamy water out of it. This was not corrected all stay long despite requests. We sampled a lot of Caribbean & World food in the hotel and outside, However, we did feel that this was an added expense whereas the quality/value was not guaranteed (we were not on an all-inclusive package) to eat evening meals throughout our stay. And we did make a comment to the French chef D, that he needed to widen his choice of wines on the evening drinks menu, as the reds served were rather young and unpalatable.
Additionally, the trip advisory rates this as a 5 star resort, which in our opinion merited 4 stars. There were many positives especially that of the spa - delicate and outstanding care from all staff - and a professional attention to sports & minor ailments in massages even available on Christmas Day had outpaced the negatives listed above.
Many thanks to the whole team for making our stay seem so wonderful and especially the front of house staff attentive and worked hard to find suitable activities and guide us to them.

Room Tip: I am prefer the centrally located room (that we had for the view), AC unit could be noisy though. Saw the individual bungalows in the grounds and would thoroughly recommend them if not priced so high to upgrade to them.

We visited over Christmas and were very pleased with our stay. Accommodations were exactly as pictured on the website. Staff were incredibly friendly. Food was very good, and a rotation of daily specials broke up the monotony of eating in the resort's one restaurant. The staff were almost universally friendly and eager to help. Only drawbacks are slight: The resorts location does mean that excursions require lengthy travel. Wifi works very well in the main lounge and restaurant but we had difficulty with a signal in our room. And the lack of a restroom facility near the beach means a short, but uphill climb back to your room. In any case, minor complaints. Recommend the all-inclusive option as well worth the value.

Room Tip: We found the ocean view rooms, on the 2nd floor to be excellent. The swim-up rooms did not appear to be worth the slighlty extra expense.

Excellent service and food. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very good range of choice on the menu. Would recommend the all inclusive option although it may appear expensive at first the prices are 'Caribbean' and a taxi to town and back will cost you the same as a main course at least.

Very big swimming pool but surprisingly cold. Pool bar staff Lance and Jonathan are very entertaining.

Not the hotel for a beach holiday or for strolling. Nothing near by and a very small beach. Not a hotel for kids.

We moved here from another resort that should be avoided and were happy to find that at Calabash Cove the standards (food, staff, rooms, amenities) reflected the 5 star rating it has. Staff were superb, food was excellent and room was spacious and comfortable. In room amenities were great but they could probaly add a few more offerings on the watersport front. All in all very happy!

We visited in May and the weather was not great but the hotel was amazing! I am not sure why it is not under the Hotels section in St Lucia as it is a 5 star hotel and it deserves everyone.

We stayed for 7 nights and tried every room type. We were booked into a junior suite but requested an upgrade if possible, which the hotel was happy to arrange, therefore we stay 3 nights in the junior suite, 2 nights in a cottage and 2 in a swim up room. All were amazing but the cottage was very special, the sunsets were spectacular and the food was stunning. The all inclusive menu is ideal, everything is included: room service, cocktails, bottles of wine, sparkling, branded spirits etc, you wouldn't want anything more.
