“Excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

Went as a party of Six and the service was superb. The manager had obviously spent a great deal of time bringing his staff upto scratch.

Ambience pleasant. could be in any decent Indian around the world.

Food was very good for my English pallatte. Had a vindeloo. hot enough to make me sweat.. flavoured enough to have a nice taste.

No complaints at all and would recommend to anyone. Prices not the cheapest around but sometimes you have to pay for quality

“Deserves it's first place ranking”

If you are in st Lucia and are a fan of Indian cooking then you simply have to go here. Very enthusiastic and friendly staff, great cooking, good portions and value for money. I'd not hesitate to go again (and again, and again).

“Attention to Detail...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

Fresh from the exuberance of the casino next door we purposely slipped into Spice of India for our most anticipated restaurant experience while on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia...we came in with high expectations...after all it is rated #1...and with good reason...

The tastefully decorated interior blends beautifully with the ambience of the restaurant and from the moment we were welcomed there was an amazing attention to detail...water filled...napkins placed...drinks offered...order pleasantly taken...even the owner stopped by the table to welcome us and to ensure all was well...and then the food arrived...well, what can I say...simply awesome!

An absolutely wonderful overall meal and a much appreciated dining experience...and although a bit on the pricey side considering the options...this is EXCELLENT cuisine which means importing just the right produce, spices and yes...chefs...and it's well worth it...

Thank you Spice of India...it was great !!

“Very good - classic Indian, lots of flavour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We were expecting something a little more Indian 'fusion', probably due to the pictures and menu in one of the freebie tourist magazines. It was more traditional - similar to what you might expect in a UK Indian.

That said the food was excellent, very flavoursome and hot. Service was also very good.

Dear Pr1066,

Thanks for the review. You are right about our Indian cuisine at SOI. I always wanted it to be the most authentic Indian cuisine and not any other versions. Only difference is that I have always stressed on clean and fresh flavours and modern presentations. May be that is what gave you an idea of fusion. Thanks for enjoying our food and service at SOI.We appreciate your comments.

Warm regards,
Chef Adil.
