I had chartered a speedboat for trip to a beach barbeque to play a happy birthday tune for a fortieth birthday party and asked how long it would take to get to the venue and what it would cost. I was quoted a price based on at least an hours journey time. The trip including playing the song took just under half an hour so I asked for some form of recompense. The lady in the booking area was very polite but could not do anything as the boss had to be consulted, the boat skipper was less bothered as it was a Sunday and he wanted to go water skiing. I returned the next day and as I wanted to go to Pigeon Island for lunch arranged this only to be told that even this short trip would be charged in full and no refund was coming from the previous overcharge. The experience of the crew and the handling of the boat were good and professional but do not pay up front to Salina water sports for a charter.
