Having previously stayed at the Bay Gardens Hotel, I was looking forward to staying at the Bay Gardens Inn with my daughter(2) and my sister and her kids(10).

Unfortunately I was disappointed..the place is in serious need of a renovation, it seems all the money has been spent on the new beach resort down the road. The kids play area was missing the swingset and didn't appear safe.

Breakfast was still as nice as the hotel, but there was not as much variety. On one occasion when I absent-mindedly forgot my phone in my locked room to go to breakfast and the shops, it was gone by the time I had returned...the maid claimed ignorance and the manager said that it was only her and myself that had entered the room on CCTV..hmmm! This ruined my stay completely as, until this point the staff and their friendliness had been the redeeming features of the Inn.

Then my toilet started to leak and I was offered the chance to change rooms, but with only one night left there didn't seem much point. I was offered a 'gesture of goodwill' of the price of my phone on my departure, but I would have much preferred my phone that was filled with photos and videos of my my daughter and family.

If anything goes missing, insist they call the police.

We stayed at the Bay Gardens Inn for only one night while waiting for our room at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort.

The location of the Inn is about a 15 minute walk to Reduit Beach

I really enjoyed sitting by the pool which is located in a yard surround by the Inn's building and makes for a quiet oasis. Also all balconies look over the courtyard which was very nice.

The Inn was very quiet overall. I think a lot of people stay here to save money and then use the Bay Gardens Shuttle to use the amenities at BG Beach Resort.

The downfall was the place seemed very rundown. Our safe was broken, the hair dryer tube was all dried out and cracked so that it couldn't be used and our TV remote was missing. The room was a little cramped with 2 queen beds, TV stand and table and chairs.

The staff was friendly enough although nothing compared to the Beach Resort.

I hope the owner's aren't pouring all their money into the Beach Resort and letting the Inn fall apart. It's a cute place it just needs a little work.

The Bay Gardens Inn, is one of 3 hotels carrying the same Bay Gardens name, with the Bay Gardens Hotel next door, where you are able to use the same facilities there as you are in the Inn, the prices of the two are similar but the Inn is a little cheaper, the 3rd is the Bay Gardens Resort which is on the beach if that is what you are looking for but sadly you would have to pay a premium to visit this hotel.
i was ther myself 10 years ago initially when it was called Palm Tree Hotel, but is now in new hands and has been a number of years now but everything is the same with friendly staff (in all 3 hotels) but on this recent trip i was actually staying at the Bay Gardens Hotel for a conference with friends staying in both the other hotels, so was able to compare all 3 at the same time!
the good things about the Inn, is it is the cheapest of the 3, without loosing out on any of the benefits of the large rooms, and friendly staff, bad point is the bar which is a little on the small size, but as i mention you can use the bar next door which is spacious best point it is smaller than the others so do not have too far to walk.
do not worry about the lack of beach, as both the Inn & Hotel next door offer a courtesy shuttle, just in case you do not fancy the 10 minute walk.
next door to the Inn you will find a supermarket which is handy if you are on a budget as all rooms have a large fridge, or if you would like to eat out a large number of restaurants close by of fine dining as well as regular pub food and various nationality food and a couple of places for night life, which is not in sound distance of the inn which i am sure you will appreciate, the only sound you will hear at night is the crickets!

We stayed at this hotel for 12 days and we found it to be a great medium budget hotel. The rooms were quite basic and could have done with updating slightly but they were cleaned every date and had all the amenities we needed. The good thing was that most people seemed to be either on business or in couples and the hotel wasn't overcrowded so we had the great swimming pool pretty much to ourselves every day which was a bonus. The hotel also served nice food and had a bar with friendly bar staff. In terms of location it was pretty good, only 5 minutes from the local bars and restaurants. The shopping mall next door wasn't the most attractive feature and we did feel a bit intimidated walking across the unlit car park every night, but we never had any problems. The only actual problem with the room was the air con unit which broke down but we did get moved in to another room the next day. All in all, if you're looking for basic but clean rooms with a good pool and close to the amenities, I would highly recommend this hotel!

the bay gardens inn is the perfect place to be! the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - especially natasha (reception) and waltrude patrick (manager). the rooms are a good size, kept very clean and are well-appointed around the lovely garden pool (n.b. take a first floor with balcony as the seating areas of some ground floor rooms are very public). also, the hotel is 10mins walk to many and varied restaurants and also a good sandy beach with cafe. breakfasts are good, with variety - arrive early on as the cooked food does stay in heated metal dishes from the start - although the evening food was not so delicious.

gros islet is a great base from which to explore the other parts of the island, too and the staff at bay gardens inn will help you with information and where to go and what to see. they were also very welcoming to our 4-year-old daughter (who spent most of the time in the pool although there is also swingset in the garden).

We spent just one night at the Bay Gardens Inn while doing an island hop from Barbados to St. Lucia. Staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were kept very clean and the little details like the swans were just lovely. The location is fantastic, shops and ameneties are right next door. The food in the restaurant was also very good.

i visited the bay gardens inn around the christmas holidays and my experience was great, the young gentleman that escorted me to the room was very pleasent. The room on the other hand was large, clean and had the basics e.g fridge for a comfortable stay. The location is great and the staff was indeed friendly.
