Pros:
Beautiful small hotel, in overall good condition
Good service, friendly staff
Located just across the street for the nice Reduit beach acess(nice sunset), in front of the police station
Short walk to the 2 groceries and the mall (banks and all you could need)
Spacious room, had 2 ac units, ceiling fans
There is a safe BUT bring your own lock !
Breakfast include, read others review

Down sides:
Matress was not too good,
You have to like the frogs sound at night. Was fine for me but not for the wife.

Took an hour and 20 minutes from the Vieux-Fort Airport
Had a few mosquito bites but nothing to go crazy about (leave the ceiling fan during the night)
Restaurants are not cheap, its a tourist area.
There is a security guard at night.

Paid 140$/night for 2 adults 1 kid for executive room.

Room Tip: We had an executive room, #10, with full kitchenette, i believe i believe #9 and 11 are the same and...

We had a great stay. The staff was excellent, friendly and informative. They responded very quickly when the air conditioning in our kitchen/living room failed late one evening. Though we told them it could wait till the morning since the bedroom air was functioning they called the tech at about 9 on a Wednesday night and had it working within an hour. Room was thoroughly cleaned each day. They gladly accommodated an unplanned visit by my blind son and his guide dog without a moments hesitation. Many thanks to the staff. This is your place if u are looking for a peaceful location directly across from Reduit beach and in close walk to great restaurant.

We came to St Lucia via an inter-island flight from Barbados and landed at George FL Charles. About a $20 and 20 minute cab ride later we arrived at the Ginger Lily to a nice, small, open air lobby where we were greeted/checked in by Roslyn (who was awesome/helpful our entire stay). She walked us to our room, gave us the lay of the land and told us a bit about the hotel's services.

The room was big, bright, and open with high vaulted ceilings (perk of being on the second floor), a nice hammock on the balcony and a large bathroom with a big walk-in shower. We stayed in room #8 - the Hibiscus room - and had a good amount of privacy thanks to the trees just outside.

The hotel overall is pretty small and quiet, I believe there around around a dozen rooms or so. I think we had the place to ourselves the first day of our stay. The pool was a nice, quiet alternative to the beach - a good place to start/finish the day. I found myself reading for a bit by the pool after breakfast with a couple of friendly cats seem to live at the hotel lounging on the chairs next to me. The continental breakfast, while simple, was adequate for us - we were never looking to stuff ourselves before starting the day.

There are a number of restaurants/bars/clubs within walking distance, both along the beach and a bit farther down the road, and they run the gamut from small local places to fine dining.

Reduit (Red-wee) beach is just across the street from the hotel where you can rent chairs/umbrellas from a few different people (don't be afraid to haggle, even if they say, "for you, I'll give you...) Similarly there are a number of watersports/activities that you can sign up for. There are a number of people walking up and down the beach either selling food (try the rotis), drinks, jewelry, or asking if you'd like to sign up for anything. Some people may feel they are being hassled; however, we found that if you just have a quick, friendly conversation with them, not only will you learn a bit about each other, but any other time you come to the beach they'll recognize you, say hello, and leave you be. Also, if you go to the same person for umbrellas/chairs each day they'll generally be willing to significantly bump down the price. If all this is too much for you, you can just walk south (to the left) and the beach becomes much less crowded/trafficked.

Back to the hotel...
As mentioned before, Roslyn was great (as was the rest of the staff). We were trying to book a last minute catamaran tour; however, the office was closed on Sundays and our emails were going unanswered. We let her know about it and about an hour later she called our room to let us know that she was able to get in touch and took care of securing our spot on the boat.

The night before we left they secured a cab for us to Hewanorra Airport which costs $80-90.

The only negative thing we would have to say would be that the wifi was a bit spotty/slow throughout our stay - not a huge deal - but something worth noting.

Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Upgrade or ask for a room on the second floor if available.

This hotel gives great access to Rodney Bay area with the beach just across the road. We would have liked a panoramic sea view, but this is not possible the way the hotel is sited. What we did get was a secluded upstairs room which was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful (take a bow Cheryl ) and breakfast was as indicated in other reviews - we did not mind the continental offering which was a no cost add on not always available at this type of establishment. No bites -must be a time of year thing. Only slight negative would be that matress reaching end of its life span.

Room Tip: Upstairs -Room 8- was great but be aware there is no lift.

Stayed here for one night and could not fault anything. Breakfast is very nice and you have option to pay for cooked breakfast if you wished. Room spacious and had fridge and large wet room. Hammock and seating area with use of the pool which it had to myself.
Staff very friendly and maid was so very kind and sweet. Small hotel but perfect

What a find a value priced hotel in a great location. Right across the street from the beach and a great beach bar restaurant Spinnakers. And several other restaurants are right down the street and a shopping center is a short walk away. This hotel was quiet, very clean, nice but small pool, nice Garden area. Would without a doubt stay again.

The room is like a studio apartment. You even have a mini fridge and a little verandah with your own hammock. Its across the road from the beach - literally 100 m. There are eating places all around and a big supermarket 0.5 km up the road. Great place to stay with helpful staff. My only complaint would be the breakfast. For a continental breakfast they could do better than white sliced bread toasted. St Lucia has good bakeries and some nice warm rolls or wholewheat bread would not be a big stretch. I was there for a very short stay but I presume if you are there longer you would buy some breakfast stuff. They do sell a cooked breakfast but you can see why the continental they offer is free.
