“Awesome sightseeing Tour of St Lucia”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

We highly recommend taking this tour of the island by speedboat and take in the breathtaking views of the coastline of St. Lucia. Well worth the money and captain Typhoon ( Peter) will make it very flexible for you according to what you would like to do. The coastline is best seen by water and taking in the Pitons from off the bow is a sight to behold. The hotel offers a similar excursion by land but apparently there is a lot of time wasted picking up passengers at other hotels and by land much of the beauty of the coastline is missed. Plus on this tour there are a few additional attractions that the captain will take you to and see at your leisure. Very private as only a handful of passengers are onboard for the ride. Highly recommended and would do it again!

“Best Day of the holiday”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

Wow, This really was a fantastic day out. Captain Typhoon picked us up off the beach of our hotel(Smugglers Cove) at 9:30am for an all day private boat tour. The boat is a fantastic 28 ft. Bowen ‘Typhoon’ speedboat with twin 200hp V6 Yamaha engines. we took a leisurely cruise down the coast seeing all the beautiful coast line, great for Pirate's of the Caribbean fans as we paused at many of the locations where filming took place. We also pulled up along the original black pearl from the movie. Captain Typhoon has vast amounts of knowledge and history of St Lucia and it coastline.
Marigots bay was both breathtaking and full of villas of the rich and famous. We stopped to do some snorkelling(best on the island) at St Lucia's marine reserve which was awesome and full of marine life. Lunch on the beach between the famous Piton mountains was absolutely perfect, then off to do a little fishing from the boat.(Caught a large snapper)
Both Captain Typhoon and his mate Yadi were great hosts, ensuring we had plenty of complimentary fluids.

On the way back Captain Typhoon opened up the engines and we raced back to the hotel, my two children sat on the bows of the boat and I have never seen my daughter smile so big and for so long, it was the ultimate thrill.

I must point out a couple of things:-

1, Typhoon will taylor make the tour to suit you, it is your boat for the day/halfday, such us taking in the diamond falls/mud baths or whatever.

2. There however an alternative option which is a catamaran trip organised by the hotels or tour operators but these are very slow and crammed quite full. also it will take 2 hours by coach to collect all the guests from other hotels and also to return them at the end of the day(a waste of 4 hours). For a family of 4 it will cost about the same to go on the catamaran as it would to have a full day on Typhoon.

I really can not recommend this enough, it really was fantastic, we also did another 8 trips on the boat in the evenings where my son and I fished and watched the sunset.
