A la carte restaurants were not great, buffet surprisingly good, staff mostly excellent. Room tatty, dated and paper thin walls, hearing next door couples sex noises was hilarious! Long way to go for this standard, sadly not the dream holiday we had hoped for. Drinks machine by swimming pool constantly out of syrups. Bars well stocked though. Kids pool has tiles missing! Childrens play area dangerous, rusty sharp edged screws on the slides and biting ants near the toy house. Tennis courts, immaculate. Shower in the room, feeble! As you can tell, very mixed pot.....and that is the problem, lack of consistency.
Not 5 star. Would not return.

Realistically if we had stayed in the new block it may have seemed better. But this is a very fair and honest review.
I suppose if you have never been anywhere better, you do not know what to expect but we shall be returning to the Far East as a preference.

Room Tip: Make sure you book a newly built room.

This was our first time to this resort and we could not have been happier, whilst the room was a little tired it was clean and well appointed. The staff were fantastic in all areas always with a willing smile. Food in all the restaurants was plentiful and well cooked, all complemented with friendly and attentive service. Amenities and facilities were excellent from the aqua aerobics, a must after a large breakfast, to the brilliant watersports facilities. A very memorable holiday.

Terrible food at all the restaurants (more so at the buffet) poor drink selection, no room service and you have to buy your water. The only good was the staff.
Booking the four restaurants for dinners was not easy and the gourmet (French) restaurant was expensive for an all inclusive resort and not worth the price. Rent a condo and fend for yourself and enjoy the island.

Room Tip: Don't go there, not worth the price no matter what room you stay in.

This gem of a resort is the perfect place to go away, if you are looking for an enjoyable, relaxing & fun family holiday! Even though we stayed here last year, I can still remember our experience vividly!

The drive from the airport is about an hour and a half, but it honestly does not seem that long at all - the beautiful mountains and forests will keep anyone entertained for 90 minutes, whilst looking out of a window - so don't let distance put you off.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with drinks & the staff took our bags for us, ready for after we had checked in, so that we could straight away get taken to our room - the service was quick, and we weren't waiting long to be checked in.

We had lovely rooms, on the ground floor, with interconnecting doors, as I travelled with my family of 5. They are just average rooms, but that doesn't matter at all, when all you are doing is sleeping in them. The showers were always hot too - which makes a big difference!

The restaurants were all superb - we loved the seafood restaurant on the pier - we had dinner here a few times, and sometimes lunch too (they do a BBQ at lunchtimes). You have to book tables for all of the restaurants except from the buffet one, and if you book late, the spaces are either too early or too late, so keep this in mind, and book enough ahead of time, so you are guaranteed a time you and your family want to eat.

The water sports kept us busy throughout the day, and the staff were all very friendly! I recommend the aqua aerobics that happen at 11am every day (if I remember correctly!), it was so much fun, and a great bit of exercise too!

There is also a gym, for 16 years and older, with has a cross trainer, treadmill, bikes, weights etc. pretty small, but then again, you go away to relax, and not to worry about anything else! Saying this, I did use the gym a lot, but it was never very busy, so size didn't seem to matter.

Overall, the holiday we had here was so memorable, and this was due to the friendly staff, the delicious food, the unlimited drinks, and the glorious sunshine!

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The top floor rooms have a lovely view of the sea, and the rest of the resort!

My family and I traveled to St. Lucia and stayed at the St. James Morgan Bay resort in June. We had a lovely time. The food was good in all of their restaurants and they were busy building a coffee bar - because we all want hot coffee int he tropics :)

We were able to snorkel, waterski, banana boat ride, wake board, sail, kayak and paddle boat while on site - all included. There are at least four pools and a beautiful beach front with lounge chairs to lay on and plenty of shade with umbrellas and palm trees for those non-sun lovers.

We highly recommend Joy's Tour, he runs sign-ups on the beach and his family runs the tour, it is worth every moment. We went to the sulpher springs and got coated with mud, rinsed off in warm mineral baths, we ate locally cooked food that his daughter made, snorkeled in a beautiful bay, took an island tour by boat and on land. A great way to have begun our trip!!!!

We hired Dive Helen for our diving excursions - they were highly rated and our trip did not disappoint, the diving was fantastic, especially the wreck dive!!!

We went ATV'ing, zip-lining and horseback riding. All separate excursions which run about 100 pp, but they were a lot of fun.

If you are into drinking, the bars are open all day and night and they can create anything you can think of, half of our party did not drink and they were happy to make us creative non-alcoholic versions that were great tasting.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and get a suite. They have great views, you get a living room and plenty of space wit...
