Our scuba group had a dive trip planned to Domenica for November 2017. However, Hurricane Maria struck in September 2017 and devastated the island. We were able to reorganize and change our itinerary to Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia. What a wonderful surprise. The hotel, food, beach, and scenery were amazing. We however, were focused on the diving and dive shop. The diving was special. The sites were close so no need for long boat rides. The reefs were healthy and the animals abundant. The scenery both below and above the water was beautiful. What a feeling of awe to surface and see those pitons. The dive masters were friendly and safe. The dive shop really goes out of its way for the divers. Almost a year later I received a call from the shop. They had found a couple of flashlights of mine in the back of a locker. They sent them to me right away. I hadn't been diving since that trip and didn't even realize they were missing. They will arrive in time for my next dive trip. What great customer service. I am so appreciative.

We stayed at Anse Chastanet for 8 nights at the beginning of September, it’s far from our first visit, so we may be biased, but it was Fab!
Our beautiful room was kept to a high standard throughout our stay, the big comfy bed had beautiful linen, and what a privilege to awake each morning with the stunning view of the famous Pitons.
We spend lazy days on the hotels beach, enjoying cocktails under our coco hut, swimming in the Caribbean Sea .... hard life :-)
The food is excellent, there’s a good choice of delicious food that’s beautifully served and presented.
It’s a very laid back resort, you can really unwind and relax here.
The little extra here, which gives Anse Chastanet the
X Factor is the service of the wonderful staff, they make you feel cared for and special.... something you get everyday!
Give it a try....

We stayed at Anse Chastanet for 12 nights in July 2018 for our Honeymoon. We wanted a nature experience with some luxury to spoil ourselves and boy did this resort tick all the boxes.

It was perfect for our romantic needs but I can easily image it also being perfect for family and friends holidays as the resort has a strong active side. The two beaches for example. One end has the Scubba centre for all diving and water based activities you could dream off. While the second beach is very relaxed and has a true desert island feel to it. I have dived on the Great Barrier reef and the two reefs just off the beach at this place are as vibrant and dynamic. We mostly visited them with short snorkelling sessions in-between chilling on the beach. They are only 5 metres deep with a bid drop off for experienced divers with other reefs a short boat ride away.

The service from the staff was first rate. We didn't wait more that 1 minute for anything and always with a smile and a comfortable relaxing Caribbean tone.

We took the all inclusive package which is a must because (and here lies Anse Chastanet's real secret) the food was world class, at all times of the day. With its own Farm which we paid to tour is first class with lots of organically grown veg and herbs which found their way onto our plate in true perfection. It is obvious to say the fish on the plate was always fresh and plentiful.

The architect behind the hotel, actually the owner has designed something very special. We visited several room types during the trip as we made lots of new friends. Each room is unique with stunning views of the rainforest and coast.

If you want a desert island holiday with all the luxuries and amenities you could ever need then this is the place.

Room tip: Beach rooms are nice for a jungle feel to them and they have aircon.

Anse Chastanet was absolutely stunning with great amenities, great food and outstanding service. The resort is cut into the side of a mountain with stunning views of Gros Piton on one side. Within the resort itself there are no fewer than 5 places to choose from to eat each with a different menu. The food is fantastic. The drinks selection is extensive and caters to everyone's tastes. At the foot of some admittedly steep steps (good exercise for the week!) is the beach with first class service and amenities to keep you occupied. You can relax for the day and have drinks and food brought to your covered loungers or partake in any of the many activities they have to offer... spa, tennis, kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling etc. Upstairs is a TV room and library for alternative entertainment needs. Back at the beach is the beach bar and restaurant. Watch out for opportunities to partake in interesting classes like rum mixology or Caribbean cooking. Free and well worth it.

Some advice. Prices are steep so go with the all-inclusive. You think you'll spend a bunch of time visiting the other resorts and sights around Soufriere but you probably will not. The road into Anse Chastanet is not good and it's an effort to get in and out of the resort. Water taxis to Soufriere are infrequent and expensive. Jade Mountain is a walk up the hill from Anse Chasanet and has the same owners. This is definitely worth a look and dinner if you can book it though reservations are limited for non-Jade Mountain guests so book in advance.

All in all I cannot recommend Anse Chasanet enough. The staff are wonderful and the location really is paradise.

Family with two teenagers spent 10 days at Anse Chastanet. Its a very different experience from so many other beach locations. Its an open air environment, with no windows or AC in our rooms or any of the restaurants. I understand some rooms on the beach have AC. There are no TVs and no phones in the room, though you are given a local cell phone if you need anything. Bring some books and just relax!

In August, its hot and humid so the lack of AC, and night noise from frogs take some getting used to at night.

The staff are superb, being extremely friendly and helpful.

Food is excellent - not one bad meal during the entire stay. List prices for food did look expensive, but we went on the AI package and most people we spoke with did likewise. Cocktails were lovely and certainly not light on the booze!

The beaches are beautiful, clean and have plenty of umbrellas. Kayaks, paddleboards and sailing dingies are available for no charge. Drinks and food are available on the beaches. Diving and snorkelling are superb at the resort, with turtles, octopus and an eagle ray being the highlights we spotted.

There is a shuttle between the beach and the mid level bar and restaurants. We didn't use this at all, but took the steps each and every time. Its a great way to burn off the calories. Those less mobile should think about it though.

Its a fantastic place, but it might not be for everyone. We loved it and will be heading back without a doubt.
