We stayed at Fond Doux for 7 days and ate all of our dinners at the Jardin Cacao Restaurant. We chose to have the 4-course dinner for $40 U.S., excluding tax and service charge (which was automatically added). We truly enjoyed the ambiance and service. Kendal and Winifred were behind the small bar on the nights we ate and we enjoyed a couple of the specialty drinks as well as some rum!! The meals were creative and delicious- the soups were outstanding and the salads fresh with a nice variety each night. Since we are fish and seafood lovers, we had the fish choices every night but one and the fish was fresh and had a variety of sauces. Desserts were good-the best was probably the crepes suzzette with homemade ice cream- but I liked that the three courses didn't have to be salad or appetizer, main course and dessert; you could choose an appetizer or soup, salad, and main course as the three courses which I really appreciated. The service was attentive but relaxed. Seeing some of the prices for food at other locations on the island we thought that what we got was a great value. One night was a BBQ and that was the only dinner that we had that was a buffet and it was varied and delicious- fresh fish, chicken, ribs and a variety of salads and vegetables, very nicely prepared by the chef, Gilda.
