My GF and I recently spent 11 days in St Lucia and had the opportunity to try a number of restaurants. This one didn't disappoint. We made a reservation in advance and showed up at 6pm to be seated in a lounge area for a drink. We got a table right in front of the steel drum entertainment. The two guys were excellent..playing everything from Neil Diamond to Abba...yep, Abba....nice soft steel drum dinner music. We both started with 'seafood st. jacques'...a version of coquille st jacques......not bad but some of the seafood was a little chewy. My grilled pork chop in a passionfruit BBQ sauce was cooked perfectly. My GF had the shrimp creole and they were cooked right and plentiful. All in all the whole meal was enjoyable, the service was pretty good and the wine list was pretty good and fair priced. The whole restaurant is made out of bamboo and is a beautiful place to have a dimly lit romantic dinner. Give it a try! oh yeah, don't expect this place to be 'cat-free' either...it's St Lucia! The bill with $45 US bottle of Laroche Petit Chablis was about $120 US...which is what you will pay for a quality dinner on this island frequently.
