Not knowing exactly what and where to eat we decided to try one of the restaurants along the board walk. It was around 16.00 hrs. As we walked around we still did not know what to have for lunch. We passed the Taloula restaurant, but decided to turn back and placed our order their. "The food must be good since there were some guests around the tables, my spouse argued".
So we choose our spot, high (bar) chairs and high table are unusual for eating, but surprisingly felt comfortable. We had to walk toward one of the staff to place our order, since nobody noticed us when we sat at the table.
We ordered 'baby' spare ribs (jumbo was sold out) and pasta with seafood, totaling about U$ 35. Waiting time was okay, about 20-25 minutes. The food was very very good, to be honest, above expectations. Excellent! And the beer was served ice cold too, the right temperature! Couldn't be better. Value for money.
Definitely recommendable to every one visiting St. Maarten. Staff is friendly too. Keep it up Taloula!
