“Redeeming quality? Close to Airport.”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 via mobile

With the smell of smoke permeating the building and the room, the Travel Inn Motel is a poor place to stay. I was apprehensive about getting in the bed but it turned out to be very comfortable. The clerk checking us in and out was very helpful and pleasant, but the shower was cold in the morning. Fortunately, I only stayed on night. The only redeeming quality of the motel was that it was close to the airport and a Couple of really good bars.

Simple room only hotel. Glad it was for just an overnight stay.
Basic room with very basic facilities.
Mugs and glasses for drink, and an ice bucket, but not coffee facilities.
Fridge hadn't been defrosted for months.
Found a previous occupants soap still in the shower, an a half full bottle of alcohol too. (A plus?)
Bit noisy overnight.
Cheap at US$50.00 per night, but you get what you pay for.

We had only one night of stopover to make another flight. Was a good and old hotel. But fair for the price. Not so comfortable but easygoing to some restaurants. They provide you the transfers, give you the tips and explain how to move around the island.

The price is very reasonable, great for an overnight stay if you have flight connections.
Very close to restaurants and markets. The restaurant on site is very good too. Great eggs Benedict! Would not choose this venue for an extended stay, but like I said, great for overnight accommodations.

This is my third time in this hotel....each time, an overnight stay before my final destination. I only need a clean, safe place to rest for the night. It's a bit pricey considering there are no extra amenities like swimming pool....but I like this hotel because it is very near the airport and there are lots of eating places around. The bagel place right beside the entrance to the hotel serves great selections. McDonalds is just several doors away. The staff is also accomodating...they can call a taxi for you and answers your questions well. If your room is near the lobby, wifi inside the room is good. If your room is further away, you can get wifi only if you stay just outside your room door...I placed a chair at my door before....But they can give you a cable to connect your laptop to the telephone line so you can use the internet inside the comfort of your room. All the three rooms I had so far are clean....some rooms are much bigger than others...I had a room one time with a big dining place, living area, and mini-kitchen. Each room I had has a small fridge, small table with ice bucket and glasses, safety deposit box, big closets with hangers, extra pillows, microwave oven. There's ample lighting, AC works well, and there are simple toiletries for free. Bathrooms have towels and 3 rolls of toilet paper, 3 small shampoos, and 3 small soaps. Two of the rooms I had have good bathrooms but one had the floor drain guard missing.... a minor detail, really. In all, this hotel is a good option to stay in for the night. I would definitely be staying here again for my next overnight stay. One thing that might be of concern is that the stairs to the upper floors is immediately to the left of the small entrance to the hotel, not in clear view of the reception area. This may be a possible way for unwanted individuals. Just keep your doors locked.

Room Tip: rooms near the lobby/elevator has stronger wi-fi

Paying $100 is not worth it for this place. Stay at The Atrium for an alternative. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, it was dirty and there's loud music playing outside until 3am. This is only an appropriate stay for the men going to spend time at the "Golden Eyes" down the street.

We stayed here the night before we were to leave on an Island Windjammer Cruise. Since we arrived so late-11PM- we really only needed a place to sleep since we had been airborne for 9 hours. The great part is the staff, very welcoming, and helpful. There is a restaurant that is kinda connected to the hotel, but it is not owned by the hotel- rather the one beside it is owned and that is Lebanese. There is an invisible line between the two. That you must not cross! The French owner was very kind and informative. We had breakfast at his restaurant. The room was clean enough however, the balcony door was locked shut. The AC unit was on the balcony but for safety reasons the door could not be opened. This made the room rather stuffy....I appreciate an open window even if it is for just a few inches! The linens were clean, the bed spreads very worn and tattered with holes and stains. It obviously is an old hotel and has not been updated in many-a-year. The price was reasonable though I thought for the accommodations it was high. Close to the airport. Many of the stores were closed-Sunday? Off-Season? Like I mentioned, it was for the one night. Since our duffel bags were heavy, we took a cab to the terminal to meet our boat the next day. Towels were worn and thin but work well enough. The TV on the other hand did not work via remote. Limited channels when using side control. Looked like some great bars across the road on Simpson Bay....we were just too, too tired!

Room Tip: Free WIFI in room!
