From my first email to Carter, I knew we were staying in a good place. Another couple and my husband and I stayed here one night before we boarded our sailboat. Carson was very helpful with restaurants, local information, and he even has a wonderful supply of gently used books for the taking! The property cannot be seen readily from the road, and is very nice and maintained well. Our room had 3 rooms: one with a couch, TV, and fully equipped kitchen; one was the bedroom with a single bed and a queen bed; and the bathroom had a sink, toilet, and shower. Everything was very clean, and we were given towels in case we decided to use the pool right outside our room. We had internet in the room (free), along with a coffee maker and coffee.
There are lots of restaurants within walking distance, as well as grocery and liquor stores. This is also about 5 minutes from the airport - very good location, great price, and clean accommodations!

Room Tip: The air conditioner works great! There is some noise on the weekends from restaurants/bars close by so just leave the a/c fan going.

My wife and I decided to stay at the TS Inn for several reasons. Our trip to the Dutch Antilles also included visits to the other islands of Saba and St. Eustatius, so we planned on staying at the Inn for the first few days of the vacation as well as the last couple days, therefore, we wanted to be close the airport. I addition, we wanted a safe place close to the beach, restaurants, and activity vendors of Simpson Bay. The rooms at TS Inn also have kitchens, we like to cook and the price of the rooms is a great bargain compared to other comparable lodging in the area. The beach is accessed just through a back gate & vacant lot and a partially submerge shipwreck is located a short swim down the beach. We took only our snorkel gear (left nothing on the beach) to explore the reef and wreck. Although we used our own gear, I understand the Inn has some gear as well as some beach chairs & umbrellas to borrow. A vast array of shopping stores & restaurants are also a short walk away as well as boat & kayak rentals and vendors that provide day tours to Anguilla, private (picnic) islands, & sunset cruises. The rooms at the Inn were clean & comfortable. There are some outdoor nightclubs nearby but with the windows closed and the AC running they could barley be heard. Lastly, the owner Carter was a great help with providing local information and booking activities & his always pleasant associate Cornelia were the perfect hosts. TS Inn was great and met all our expectations.

Room Tip: We stayed in a 2nd floor room (#6) for a few days and a 1st floor room (#2 with a private porch) for our last two nights of the trip and both rooms were great!

This hotel is tucked off from the main road and is still right in the middle of great restaurants and other businesses, such as banks and grocery stores. The beach access is easy and beautiful at sunset.

The accommodations are clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay.

We had a great stay at the Turquoise Shell in. It's not the Four Seasons or the Westin, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with great proximity to everything in Simpson Bay, look no further.

I set up this rental for my brother, a medical student on Saba, and he had this to say: "Turquoise Shell Inn is very clean and comfortable, with a great walking-distance location to restaurants and easy access to the beach! Carter is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Rates are very reasonably priced. I recommend Turquoise Shell Inn to anyone. I will certainly stay here again when I return to St. Maarten. "

I can also vouch for the personal touch and service as Carter called to check on arrival times and flight info to ensure a smooth check in process at the Inn. He was very nice and thoughtful.

It is good to get feedback from guests, both good and bad. Nice to hear that this guest enjoyed their stay. I am also, happy to report, after much frustration with island vendors our Wi-Fi is back on track. Not the type you expect in North America but back to reliable "island" standards
