Every day, a number of times per day, small and mega yachts pass through the iconic lifting bridge to access the calm lagoon and its marinas from the sea in Simpson Bay, St Maarten - also known by the sexy moniker - SXM. Fortuitously, an enterprising man expanded the deck of the Simpson Bay Yacht Club to maximise the view of yachts running the gauntlet of the bridge. Traffic comes to a standstill as yachts, small and large (100m Limitless) slide there way through the narrow gap. Occasionally, they strike the bridge to gasps from the crowd. The bar staff are excellent and the drinks fairly priced. Food is good and breakfasts are very good. The drinks holders cut into the handrails are genius. I love this place!

Visited there for drinks and were not disappointed. The drinks were great and not too pricey. WE saw some beautiful boats down there. if you ever want to go and see some beautiful boats this is the place.

This is a place to unwind and enjoy some great food. The boats in the harbor are magnificent, and the facility is next to the draw bridge. The boats parade past to exit and enter the protected harbor.

Well I have been twice and its the same which is a pity. Its fun when the bridge is opened but the rest of the time just a normal place. I ordered coconut shrimp when they came they were burnt and the waitress said they are ok and the best, no offer of changing them. They were dry inside and I had to scrape off the burt bits. A bit of a let down to say the least.
