“The best ion Grand Case”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Le Cottage may not have an ocean view but it totally makes up for that by a fantastic menu, wonderful owners/servers and a liesurely atmosphere. Le Cottage is not an inexpensive place to eat but the food is excellent and presented beautifully. Great place to splurge.

“one of the best”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

wonderful owners who give great service and are warm and welcoming. this culinary heaven has some of the best food in grand case. chef David does wonderful things in the preparation of the food. taste and quality are ever present. the ambiance is warm and inviting. le cottage has new owners Stephan and Tania. I strongly suggest that you give this restaurant your attendance. you will not be disappointed. dishes such as rack of lamb, osso bucco, as well as fish choices are expertly prepared. not a restaurant to miss.

“Still the best in Grand Case”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

Awesome experience.

Seriously, the service the moment you walk in, the food, the owners are fabulous.

I really appreciate that every aspect of dining is tightly controlled by Stephane and Tania who always watch, feel and anticipate your needs.

I strongly advise to discuss the menu and the wine with both of them preferably. Stephane and Tania are more than happy to go over the choices in detail (regardless of the fact that at times they are literally being pulled apart by customers).

We ate this time… I remember four items we ate: lobster bisque, foie gras lasagna, duck plate and soufflé. Each item was outstanding. Unfortunately, I could not finish the duck as I was ready to explode. Just want to mention that soufflé is not only delicious but it is huge as well.

I see reviewers mention that they miss Bruno. We do not. I love it the way it is now.

Some reviewers mention that it is too noisy dining at street facing tables (prime tables if you ask me). So, when you make reservations (you must) do ask for an inside table - how difficult is that? Grand Case is Grand Case - noise, dust, crazy moped/motorcycle driving idiots, etc

On the negative side - Stephane runs too much. I mean, it is good for you but bad for him. I'm afraid he's gonna get a heart attack. Really.

PS. Must mention that L'Estaminet is not better than Le Cottage (it is just worse from any angle). La Villa I like but it's strongest point is the owner not the food.

“Caramel soufflé not to be missed”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

We ate 2 dinners there as a family. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The wine menu is very good and also a full bar. I loved the lobster ravioli. Very different preparation to what I have experienced else where. Rolls are fresh made on premise, so if you normally do not splurge on bread, go for it here. The caramel soufflé - there are no words to describe how good it is. The best soufflé ever!
