I have only had dinner there once and it was good. We almost always have breakfast there, with their excellent coffee and the bread and croissants. Occasionally we will order a fruit plate and my daughter had full American style breakfasts a few times.

But really, the food is secondary for me. To start the day with the beautiful view from the Sunset Café is pleasure. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

So take yourself and your camera to the café, have a cup of coffee and plan on how you will relax on your vacation for the rest of the day!

Staff was excellent, very friendly and ready to serve you.
Drinks depends on bartender, while some made them good, others were very watery and did not taste properly.
Food was good but not great.
Prices were ridiculous and even when we paid cash, the exchange rates were high.
Happy hour only once a week..
Food of the day mostly fish or shrimp.
No soups except for gazpacho.
Continental breakfast lucking fruits.
For the price you are paying, - average.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Case Beach Club and this restaurant is on their grounds. They are not owned by the hotel but do service their guests as well as anyone else looking for a great meal in an awesome setting.

Ate breakfast there a number of mornings, ate lunch there twice, and dinner twice.

The food - especially their daily specials - were all excellent, well portioned, and reasonably priced (for Grand Case). Remember you are in the Caribbean and the restaurant is French so while they have club sandwiches and hamburgers and fries why would you do that!

Their staff is friendly and helpful and more than willing to have a giggle with you.

The settings is very pretty as it quiet (right above the beach) and very romantic in the evenings. Well worth the visit!

My only complaint is the menu - looking at their online menu (or even the menu they supply to you at the table) is very bland and non-exciting. When we first viewed it we were ready to "not bother" but we're glad we did!

Even if your not lucky enough to stay at The Grand Case Beach Club a trip to this restaurant on the hotel's premise is well deserved as it probably has the best dining views in Grand Case and the food is fantastic as well. All seating is on the outside deck that hangs over the water and all the views are great. I had lunch here twice and many drinks at the bar in the evening (the island's signature frozen guavaberry colada like drink is done particularly well here). The service is very good and never too attentive. Most of the staff speak English but as in most parts of French St. Marting using a little French (bonjour, merci, si vous plait, bonsour) is appreciated and goes a long way. For lunch one day I had the special: whole red snapper freshly caught and prepared...really, really good! served with scallops and shrimp also terrific. The second day I had lunch here as well and had the Jamaican jerk shrimp over rice..all very fresh and a huge heap of big shrimp. The fact that The Grand Case Beach Club has this restaurant on it's property is yet one more reason to stay here..it is so convenient as it was nice to snorkel for a few hours go the room aroud 1 ,change clothes, and walk 70 feet for a great lunch. And unlike most restaurants on the strip there is no need to dress up here as there are people in bathing suits eating fantastic meals watching incredible sunsets that this restaurant affords. Great place!!

Note:
Sunset Café . like the other establishments on the island, are on "island time" this means no rushing...you can litterally sit for hours after your meal without ever being brought your check so if you are in a hurry ask for it. Meals can also take some time in between courses.
