Yes, the place is run by friendly people. Unfortunately the food was a poor representation of local creole food. It is clear that they are trying to take advantage of the clientele of grand case beach club and hotel esplanade that are on the same road. Too bad I had to eat here to find this out the hard way. After all the stellar reviews, I thought it was a sure hit. Wow, was I wrong. The dinner rolls were served half defrosted--still cold in the center. The meat and fish tasted frozen too. They were overlooked, with bland seasoning. And the worst part is that it didn't even match the description on the menu. There are far too many authentic places to eat in the area to waste a meal here. Go to a place where locals dine and they don't treat tourists as of they have no idea what good food is.
