This was my first time checking out Maria By the Sea. It has been under construction with major renovations going on. The lobby was nice, the bar was a bit dark for during the day but service at the bar was quick. Had to teach the bar tender how to make a Salty Dog but have to say it was a nice drink that she poured. While we were there I checked out the lunch menu, which consisted of salads and burgers at a reasonable price. In looking at the dinner menu I was disappointed that the main dished consisted primarily of pasta. No stand alone meat entrees. Will consider lunch in the future but happened to see several people leaving the restaurant due to slow service. Looked like they were heading for the ferry dock and could not wait any longer. The dining area is right out on the water and has a great view.
