Chris and Bunky totally made our vacation amazing. The view is breathtaking and the best on Tortola hands down. The restaurant was great and the sunset view could not have been any more beautiful. The staff was warm and friendly with Chicken, Rosa, Chef Spice and our waitress from Dominica. Chris and Bunky are the greatest, they took us around the island and we even went to other islands with them. We will be back and I recommend the Heritage Inn to anybody traveling thru Tortola.

We spent our first 2 nights here before our charter boat holiday. The view from our balcony was the sort experienced only a few times in a lifetime. Breathtaking and a great start to our trip.

The double room with kitchen, lounge was a great base for our 2 days. I would definitely recommend hiring a car to get to nearby amenities.

We spent a day at the beach over at garden cay, it would have been a little too far to walk.
We eat twice at the hotel restaurant, varied and excellent quality food with attentive staff. As we arrived in August it is out of season, as a result many places in the area weren't open. However that suited our low key start to our holiday.

We had a fantastic time at the Inn. We went out all day since it was conveniently located to almost everything and came back both nights and had diner at the great restaurant. We had a 2 bedroom suite that had everything, including a kitchen. We will be definitely going back!

Room Tip: All rooms have a great view!

Came to Tortola for a wedding, stayed for 7 nights at the Heritage Inn, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Chris & Rosa welcomed us and made us feel right at home. Tia & Denise were our servers and made all of our dinners tons of fun with a lot of laughter. We ate in the restaurant (Bananakeet) 5 nights and the food was excellent, everything was fresh and plentiful. Chris & Bonkey introduced us to a lot of their friends which made us feel like part of the family. The view & sunsets from our balcony & the restaurant was absolutely awesome. Thanks to our newfound friends at Heritage Inn for a fabulous week. Dave & Kathy Jacksonville, Florida

The view, food, pool and staff are outstanding. Renting a car makes the trip easier, but come by cab and stay for a few days. Total relaxation and attentive service are the hallmarks of this location. We stayed for three days, sailed for a week, and came back for another night prior to return flight. Making a reservation for dinner one night at the Sugar Mill is a must.

Came into BVI wound up after way too much work.....but found our place to chill...Great ride from the airport with Godfrey Gombs taxi to the Heritage Inn. Right upon arrival Chris took care of us with a painkiller for my wife and a beer for me....drifted right into "island mode", looking out over Carrot bay, it just does no get much better than the Heritage Inn. The view is unbelievable. Great resturaunt, and great staff. Chris and Bonkey are wonderful people. Blood pressure way down after our ten night stay. Highly recomend.

My wife and I stayed 4 days at The Heritage Inn in December 2010. We enjoyed making our breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and sitting on the balcony. The western view of the neighbouring islands was fantastic. There is a great market in Cane Bay and restaurants in the area, especially The Sugar Mill, pricey but beautiful and a great steak dinner. The Bananakeet on site was also one of the best meals we had, not to mention the views with a drink.
We rented a car with Chris's help and saw most of the island. We also went to Bomba's Shack for the Full Moon party, it was lots of fun. A day trip to Jost Van Dyke is well worth the effort as well as some of the other islands are close by. Make the effort to find the little bars and beaches; we especially enjoyed Josiah Bay Beach.
One note, this is not a place for the all-inclusive, facilities driven traveller. It’s a laid back and not in your face kind of place…the kind that my wife and I enjoy.
Thanks to Chris and staff for a great stay.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Heritage Inn is just what you want if you are looking for the total getaway. The Inn is located on the hilltop of a sleepy village: Carrot Bay, on the north side of Tortola. These comfortable apartments offer probably the most breathtaking views on the island: "voted Best sunset view in the BVI!" 180 degrees east and west and overlooking Jost Van Dyke, Sandy & Green Cays and three Tortola bays. This locally owned inn is quaint and quiet. Each suite has a private view-facing balcony and is furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living room and AC king-size bed in bedrooms. Three suites have two bedrooms for family or friendly vacationers. Six, clean and comfortable, one bedroom suites also offer enough space to just forget your cares and hang out for a week. The views are so beautiful that most guests just "gape" for the first few days. In the summer the sun sets directly over the water. It is so beautiful that the locals go up for sunset cocktails at the BananaKeet Cafe on the poolside veranda to watch the sun setting over the awesome horizon. It's no wonder the slogan reads... the Higher you Get... the Better the Views!! ... more   less
