“Chill spot to grab a bite away from the beach crowd.”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

Ya man. This place was alright. Homemade local food. Me friend had chicken roti with rice and peas for 20 and for a little more I had fried yellow tail fish, da reef fish. Both dishes come with a side of sautéed vegetables and we washed it all down with Guinness Extra Foreign Stout. The man at the bar say everything good on da menu. Check it out ya hear.

“Best Roti”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

This casual dining spot features delicious local food of very high quality. The Veggie Roti (a warm wrap filled with curried meat, fish, veggies) which was made special to order, was the best I've had in the BVi!

“A hidden gem among the fancier places”
Reviewed 5 February 2014

Cane Garden Bay--where folks sailing and cruising visit Tortola in the BVI. The beachfront has its upscale restaurants with live music--Quitos and Myettes. But across the street from Myette's is this little cafe, the Roadside Cafe, that serves the best Rotis, fried pot fish and stews perhaps on the island. On this visit, the Roadside "beat out" the Palm Delight for authentic unpretentious Caribbean fare. The chef at Roadside used to own the larger Paradise Restaurant on the beach strip, but scaled down and has built a local clientele inside of 6 months.

So for those visiting Cane Garden Bay and are uninterested in buying a beer bucket or two pain killers for 6 bucks, walk instead across the street and eat some really great island food.
