We stayed here the night before our charter. Yvonne was very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool in the evening while overlooking the bay. We left our bags with Yvonne the next day while we went to RiteWay for provisioning and picked them up later in the day. The bar is on honor system and the breakfast was huge! We will definitely stay here again.

We booked here following the good reviews we had read and were not disappointed. Yvonne is great and her warm and friendly welcome make you feel you made the right choice! We had a night before we picked up our Moorings charter and came back for the night after our ten days on the boat. We had two teenage children and the big guest room was perfect. Great breakfast after our first night but on the second we had a 4.45am taxi for the airport but Yvonne was there to make sure we left on time! Hard to go wrong -it's island hospitality in a delightful laid back way.

Room Tip: There are only a few rooms - not sure how many - but I'm sure all are excellent.

Needed an overnight stay in Tortola, waiting on sailing charter due to my mistake on making airline reservations. Best mistake I ever made. It had been a rough trip from San Juan and on the "fast ferry" from St. Thomas. Although rainy and not much sunshine, this was the bright spot, the view, the comfort. Ms. Yvonne was a great hostess, fabulous breakfast, great advise. If you go in June, have her explain about the catepillars on the Plumeria tree and how they regenerate the trees; it was also wonderful seeing all the wildlife, especially the finches feeding at the hanging baskets on the balcony. If the weather had been better, the pool would have been very inviting. The room was comfortable, bathroom room, nice shower. Ms. Yvonne was helpful in suggesting a place to eat, even calling ahead to see if we could still get lunch. the highest compliment was paid by the travelling companion, who is a very tough cookie, who said the next morning that he would definitily come back to this place. Would recommend this place highly.

We stayed at Hummingbird for two nights after a week long BVI sail, and it was like coming home (except the breakfasts were better!). Comfortable bed, lovely pool, quiet places to sit and read, an well-equipped honor bar and a great location and view. Yvonne, the owner, treated us as guests in her home so it was a relaxing couple of days. The Tennis Club, about a 2 minute walk, was great for meals as was the pick-up lunch we got at the French Deli; in other words, we didn't have to go far to be satisfied, and after a week on the sailboat we were decidedly lazy. Like most places on the BVIs, there are roosters who crow most of the day and dogs that bark occasionally; the a/c would have drowned out those noises but we didn't bother. Good value; we would stay again.

Every year after a few week sail in the BVI we always stay at The Hummingbird House:)) The location is just minutes from the harbor and the company of the lovely Ms. Yvonne is priceless, and she makes a hell of a breakfast! The accommodations are very nice and the atmosphere and pool can;t be beat!!!! I really don't want to let this secret out but it is to great not to! Thanks Yvonne:)))

Yvonne the owner and hostess was most gracious and accommodating from start to finish. We only needed one nights stay and this was the perfect experience. Very casual and relaxing. An easy walk to the harbor, restauranta, store...

Thank you, Yvonne!!! We will be back to stay.

We stayed at the Hummingbird Bed & Breakfast in January 2013 before taking a bare boat sailboat round the BVI. Yvonne the owner, was delightful and helpful and cooked a great breakfast. We were arriving later on in the day and Yvonne arranged for a cab to pick us up from the airport at a very reasonable cost. She also recommended a local deli that we could order food from and, because we were arriving late, she picked it up for us so we could relax and eat with a bottle of wine in her very pretty and cozy courtyard. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and very comfortable. I honestly wouldn't want to stay anywhere else as this was perfection for us. Thank you Yvonne for sharing your beautiful place and wonderful hospitality with us.
