“Nice Location”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

A free shuttle ride from Gun Creek gets you to a small island just off shore from Virgin Gorda. Saba Rock has a nice restaurant and bar set up that seemed to be frequented by a lot of the local crowd. The setting is excellent with amazing views, at least to a prairie dweller.
This is not a place to go for a cheap meal, although not 5 star prices, things are a bit higher priced than other restaurants we frequented. Although, the food was very good and worth the extra cash.
I did find the waitress a bit on the grumpy side. She was the only grumpy person we met while visiting Virgin Gorda so it sort of stood out. First thing is she complained directly to us about have to do separate checks, a burden she was not pleased to be saddled with. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant we had to search her out when we were in need. The thing that really got me was there was no service charge on the bill, which the bill indicated quite clearly, but Ms. Grumpy pants had the audacity to bring it up to our face even after the sub par service. Bah is all I can say.
She is but one of the wait staff and I would not say she is reason enough not to visit Saba Rock, just be aware you may also have her to wait on you. On a good note she did provide us with a bit of humour at her expense.

“Fun Night”
Reviewed 3 May 2014 via mobile

We just got back from a family trip sailing the BVI. We sailed with two other family's and had dinner at Saba Rock. Most of us had the buffet. We had a blast. The atmosphere was fantastic. The buffet offered plenty of selection for everyone. The food was very good for a buffet. Our waitress was engaged and outgoing. Our group had a lot of fun. The views at Saba Rock are fantastic. If you get to dinner early you can sit on some cushy patio furniture and take in all the sights.

“A Stop Along the way...”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

While travelling through the BVI's on, our chartered 47ft Power Cat. we picked up a mooring ball , just off Saba Rock. We motored over in our dinghy and spent the day exploring the hidden treasures of this tiny island. In the afternoon we had drinks on the deck and after a brief rain storm, we were rewarded with a gorgeous rainbow. We returned in the evening for dinner and I had some of "De best " conch fritters I have ever eaten. Service was good and staff welcoming. While relaxing on the aft deck of our yacht, we were visited by a Spotted Ray.Beautiful views ,the garden is lovely and the Toucans were quite entertaining....

“Great experience. Food not great”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

We loved the setting. We couldn't help but take pictures because it's a 'floating restaurant' and it's lit up beautifully. The lounges are so cozy and beautiful.
And we had very good service.
Each entree for the restaurant (not the lounge menu, though) includes the salad bar, which is a great value. It has many fresh choices including very good tuna fish and it had a cheese bar as well. If I were to go back, I'd just do the salad bar.
The entrees were not good. I had the' beef stir dry in plum sauce. And we had some get the lobster burgers. The fries came out cold, the burgers were dry, condiments were meh.
The tacos are in hard shell. And the fish and chips were just frozen. Tasted like Vandekemp. Again, for the great setting, great facility - it should have been quality, but they didn't seem to put much focus or attention on quality cooking. A disappointment for the price and expectations. But still worth going to for the atmosphere.
