Fantastic service, the staff genuinely helped and showed an interest with our children especially at mealtimes making it a great experience! Lovely place, would recommend a beach room as felt like you were on a deserted island. Fantastic would go back!

I stayed here a few weeks ago and the property and rooms are beautiful. The food is very mediocre. We stayed in an ocean front cottage and barely slept. Every night at 3am a loud bird would start chirping on our balcony continuously for hours. We complained on three different occasions. We were promised they were working on it sending grounds people. Nothing was done and when we checked out we asked for at least a comped night. They refused. After many phone calls they offered a $250 credit. With rooms at $420 the night plus taxes and resort fee and a stay for six nights I believe that this high end resort could've done much better.

Just spent a week a little Dix Bay and have to say from start to finish this was a perfect trip, the staff, the food, the location, the activities were all literally perfect some things to know:

1- the food is excellent but expensive. In the mornings they serve complimentary coffee and pastries in the Pavilion and Boat House from 7:00am - 9:30am. If you're not a big eater this will suffice for lunch.

2- town is a short walk or $3 cab ride each way. Great restaurants (Mermaid Grill) which are really good and reasonable.

3- Go to town and stock up on soda, beer, wine, snacks, etc. of course you will want to eat at the resort but for just snacking and such you can save a ton by making a shopping run for beverages and snacks. There is an in room fridge.

4- gratuity Of 18% is included on every bill.

5- double check that you have sunscreen and your other toiletries. The gift shop have anything you would forget at a premium

6- Request room 29 or 32

The water activities are great! Hobie Cats, kayaks, snorkeling etc. are all included Also, do a "beach drop". The staff will take you by boat and drop you in a private cove which is also included and will come back a few hours later. Really Fun!

My husband and I are not easily impressed.... However, we were above and beyond impressed with this resort! It has truly been the best stay we have ever had.
Greeted at the boat dock to the resort with complimentary, delicious, unlimited run punch! Lemongrass cool towels, smiles, amazingness!
Greeted at the resort by staff members and more drinks! Then a super friendly staff member took us to our room....
I really wish I could remember everyone's name, but there are soooo many people helping it's hard. Oh and the rum punch could have had something to do with that! Haha:)
We get to our amazing room and it is absolutely outstanding! Fresh, tropical flowers everywhere! A complimentary bottle of rum, drinks, ice! The room smelled amazing! It was spotless clean! I requested a fan be brought up for when we sleep just because we like the noise... Done! Anything you ask.. Done!
We sat on the beach a lot.... Our server, Carey would come by often and check on us and refill drinks... The drinks are a little pricey so we went into town (10 min walk) and got beer, water and snacks to have in our room. Then I called the front desk and asked if they had a cooler with ice and within minutes it was in our room!!!!
We did one day at mountain trunk bay, it's a complimentary beach drop from the resort. Great snorkeling, not a lot of people... Awesome! We got a picnic lunch. Wow! For $55 we got 2 huge lobster sub sandwiches, cookies, chips, cheese and crackers, chips, salad and 2 iced teas!!! It was amazing:)
One day we had a chartered boat with 16 other people and did a full day of island hopping.... I'm so happy we did that! So much fun!!!
The spa is incredible! Everyone is so friendly! So relaxing!!! There is a Private beach down the stairs by the hot tub... Definetly check that out!
Trails and hikes are awesome!!! Wear tennis shoes:) overall, pure romance, sheer perfection, we will be back often!

Little Dix Bay is a delight. The beach is wonderful with some snorkeling. They offer daily boat trips to any other beach you want to snorkel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is just wonderful. The food is very good and it is close to town to enjoy the food options there too.

My husband and I stayed at Rosewood Little Dix Bay for a glorious 11 days in May 2014. We flew into beef island and we were greeted by two lovely people who worked for the resort and brought by van to a boat where we were greeted by the captain & promptly handed refreshing rum punch! The boat ride was amazing with amazing views approaching the resort! We were then brought to out beach cottage (111) which was perfect & an upgrade:) the location of our room was perfect for us as it was steps to the beach, amazing views, quiet and peaceful. Other reviews have mentioned the walk to the restaurants, this was fine for us as we enjoyed every step. The beach is huge!!!! We felt as though we were on a private beach. The use of snorkeling gear, paddle boards etc. is great. We loved paddle boarding and visiting the adorable sea turtles!!! We had breakfast included which was great, fresh, healthy food, anything you could want. We took advantage of the phenomenal gym & tennis courts everyday. The service is amazing but not intrusive. A couple times a day a staff member would make their way down to our end of the beach offering frozen grapes, cold water, cold towels, which were all very refreshing they were also happy to take drink orders. The drinks were pricey, which we were aware of in advance. We had gone to the local grocery store (15 min walk) for beach provisions. We ate dinner at the resort a few nights and it was good. The first night we arrived it was around 5pm & we were starving. It was Asian night at the pavilion and it was excellent. We ate at the bar one night, the burger was good, the cucumber margarita was outstanding and I am still craving one! Our dinner at the Sugarmill was perfection with great food, service and atmosphere. I would recommend venturing off the resort as there are other great restaurants on this magical island! We did two beach drops which were so much fun. It was very choppy one day so the boat was only going to Savannah Bay which is the next cove from LDB. We had a lobster salad picnic lunch and we were the only people there! So fun & surreal. Two hours later the resort picked us up. We also were dropped at George Dog for 4 hours, this was the best!! Snorkeling, the beach, it was what dreams and romantic movies are made of! The daily afternoon tea was the perfect snack just before heading in to get ready for dinner. I am a big Coffee drinker, the coffee served at the resort is outstanding! We had a treatment at the spa, it was fine. While the spa is gorgeous, it seemed very overpriced and to be truthfull, when at the spa, it was the only time I felt a level of snottiness. The woman at the desk was a bit rude (the only rude staff member we encountered). I actually had another spa service booked and canceled it because I felt uncomfortable and felt I'd rather spend the time with my amazing husband on the beach. We did sneak up to the yoga pad to watch sunrise. Overall we had great weather, on our last full day it rained like I have never seen! It was a total wash out and we did have some leaking in our room, unfortunate but not a big deal. The resort handled it wonderfully & made everything right. We can't wait to go back! It was expensive and likely not something we can do every year and maybe not for 11 days but, we will be back!!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Rosewood Little Dix Bay is currently closed for a comprehensive renovation and is scheduled to re-open in late 2017. The iconic Rosewood Little Dix Bay is currently closed for a comprehensive, multi-million dollar restoration, which will be the most substantial beautification project since the resort was founded by Laurance S. Rockefeller over 50 years ago. The restoration will include the complete redesign of the resort’s guestrooms and suites, its three restaurants and overall enhancements to the resort’s gardens and landscaping. New York City-based Meyer Davis Studio will lead the restoration, working alongside Miami-based architectural firm OBMI. Together these agencies will honor Laurance S. Rockefeller’s unique vision of a luxurious hideaway set amidst the pristine backdrop of Virgin Gorda. The renewal will bring about a new level of sophistication in keeping with the natural setting, whilst introducing brand new signature suites for the ultimate in relaxation and style. A rebuilt Beach Grill will offer a one-of-a-kind beach dining experience, while the iconic Pavilion and Sugar Mill buildings will remain intact but will feature extended indoor/outdoor dining areas. Guests will also enjoy an elevated arrival experience and the resort’s vibrant tropical gardens will be enhanced with new lighting, signage and improved access to Little Dix Bay beach. The renovation will also bring the addition of new restaurant concepts for The Pavilion, Beach Grill and Sugar Mill; new world-class amenities; elevated service standards and an increased focus on sustainability. Upon reopening towards the end of 2017, Rosewood Little Dix Bay will reaffirm its legacy as the Caribbean’s leading luxury resort. ... more   less
