“Chic and hip new restaurant in Spanish Town”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

Two meals here for my large family within the first four days of a ten day vacation.....and the Coco Maya did not disappoint. The ambiance, the wait service, the live entertainment and the excellent tapas menus was a delight for all ages....from teens to this grand father. This place is pure fun and intimately romantic at the same time. Both it and Chez Bamboo are two restaurants on Virgin Gorda not to be missed! I recommend you get reservations for both.

“what atmosphere”

We had drinks at CocoMaya in Virgin Gorda twice. What a fantastic set up. RIght on the beach, comfortable seating, a fire going, palm trees and the carribbean at our feet. Doesn't get much better!!!

“Great location and diverse menu”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

A group of 10 of us were nicely accommodated at CocoMaya. The Tapas menu gave a variety of options for all of us. The beachside location and architecture gave it an elegant feel. When we walked in, we were surprised and it turned out to be a great evening!

“Know what you are looking for.”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

Primarily a restaurant with a great little bar at the end. The bar has swings for seating on two sides, which in my opinion is all you need to know about the vibe around this place. Couches in the sand and a fire pit make this place very unique to the island. Great place to pass a little time. I go for a gourmet beer in the afternoon. Not the best place to catch the sunset, but a great view none the less. The food is exceptional. My average rating is purely based on the price. The portions are very pricy and small. You spend about $25 for an appetizer (tapas). Its a great place and the food is good, but you should be ready to spend 300 for a couple if you plan to order a bottle of wine.

Hello and thank you for visiting us at CocoMaya!
I am pleased you liked what we are doing but was surprised by your pricing comment.
As we have advertised on our website - our tapas start at $9 and do not go above $17
Our larger plates which are mains do not go above $39.
Non the less - I am happy you enjoyed your time at CocoMaya.
Thank you.

“Beautiful Restaurant, Beautiful Setting”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

We have been to CocoMaya several times since it opened for both cocktails and dinners and we have always enjoyed ourselves. On the beach facing west, the setting is perfect for having a drink and watching the sun set behind the islands. The meals, the service and the atmosphere are just what you would hope to experience on a lovely tropical vacation. Being annual visitors to Virgin Gorda for many years, we know and understand the difficulties of getting supplies, good ingredients, etc. and then providing quality meals. The people at CocoMaya have figured it out. I look forward to my next visit this coming January.

Your continued support is important to us!
We aim to keep our menu lively and fresh packed with new flavours and creativity!
In January - look out for Al Broderick (who used to play guitar, among may other instruments at the Last Resort). Al will be joining us on Saturdays to amaze our guests with his talents.

Thank you again.
