Owner description: Sting ray sandbar and snorkeling on the reef with a sail boat. Small groups - 20 maximum
Reviewed 23 March 2014

Our family spent an afternoon with Dexter on his trip to Stingray Sandbar and a nearby snorkeling site. Both were very enjoyable. We had the opportunity to touch, hold, feed and kiss stingrays. We were also pleased that Dexter and his mate took the opportunity to make sure that everyone had their photo taken with the stingrays.
The snorkeling was top notch. They provide snorkel equipment, if needed, and make sure that everyone has the time to see the fish and corals in the area.
I would highly recommend Dexter to others who are interested in these experiences. His boat was a delight to sail on.

This is a great morning or afternoon excursion. The trip is 4 hours on a very large Catamaran sailing first out to a barrier reef snorkeling, then to Stingray City. The max is 20 people onboard, so very comfortable. Highly recommend this activity for families and couples too.

I booked the private charter on his catarmeran with 14 family members ages 6 months to 65 yrs. old. What a wonderful experience Dexter and Oscar showed us. They were great with our children, body counts were regular and always looking out for our safety. I was so happy with the private charter as it gave us the freedom to move around as we pleased. Dexter provided bus transportation bottled water & can sodas for us and all the snorkeling equipment needed. Dexter even offered us the use of his water camera if needed (no charge). There were 4 cruise ships (15,000 visitors) this day so we knew it was going to be crowded at stingray city. Dexter got us out early, picked a great spot (4 foot water), and like a magnet there were huge stingrays flying all around us as if they knew Dexter. Oscar & Dexter picked the largest stingrays (I believe) to show us and everyone was so amassed at its size and friendliness. What a great education we all received from him. Dexter also had a great spot for snorkeling the reefs. Plenty of beautiful fish, coral, and konks to dive for. With the kids all tired out and a warm sun it was nice to have a nice quite sail back to shore. At the end I Thanked him for a wonderful time and paid him in cash. Don't you know, he didn't even count it. He wished us a pleasant sail back home and I told him I'd be back for sure. Dexter & Oscar your fantastic

We had a great day swimming w the sting rays and snorkeling along the reef. Dexter and his crew were very accommodating from picking us up at our hotel, to providing water and sunscreen if we needed. We had plenty of time with the sting rays and the crew made sure that everyone got pictures with them. The snorkeling was great and we had plenty of time to explore - at the watchful eye of the crew who provided a fresh water hose as we got back on the boat. We highly recommend Dexter`s tour. It took some research to find Dexter but it was worth it. His trimaran was well maintained and he did not rush us snorkeling or spending time with the rays. We spent about 45 minutes with both and he made every effort to assure that all had a chance to interact with the rays. Ask if you can bring some additional squid from the island grocery store. It costs about 3 dollars and you'll need to cut up the stinky suckers and put them in baggies but once you are out there, it will extend your fun feeding them. He communicated well with me by e-mail before we arrived and was very attentive and accommodating throughout the whole process.
