“Hammerheads Brew Pub & Grill Hits the Nail on the Head!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2011

After spending the morning on Seven Mile Beach, we arrived back in town and spotted Hammerheads Brew Pub and Grill and decided to give them a try. It was right on the beach and we could see our cruise ship as we ate.
At the entrance there is a statue of a large blue hammerhead shark holding a mug of beer. There is also a multi-destination road sign -cute!
There was a large outside bar up on a platform, but the hostess brought us to the covered open-air seating area.
We were seated quickly and given our menus. Many selections, a lot of fresh fish offerings.
My husband had the fish & chips for $12.95. I had the fried shrimp. Food was good, service was terrific, view was wonderful!
After lunch we (I) did a little tourist shopping near the pier and then we headed for our tender back to the ship.

“Beware, read the fine print”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2011

Tourist trap defines this place. Not only are the prices in Cayman dollars but they already add the tip. Do the math and you'll see that you are paying a lot of money for low quality food. The waitress was charming and the view was nice. Other than that - pass.

“Overpriced and service poor!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2011

Just wanted a couple of cool beers. Sat at the bar and asked, politely, for the local brew. The lady at the bar nodded & went off without so much as a smile and we waited...and waited...until another waitress came over and asked what we wanted. We said the other lady had taken our order and then we got served 2 small plastic glasses on a sticky wet bar top. We got out $10 US to pay the bill and was quite shocked to see $14.38 US on the bill...needless to say we gave no tip!

“Feast with your eyes, not with your pocketbook”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2010

The atmosphere does not match the service or the prices of the food. We paid the kind of money that we normally pay at a very nice steak house in the states, and the food was more fast food than fresh food. The place became so busy that our waitress failed to bring any additional items we requested including water, hot sauce, lemons, ketchup. She actually walked away several times while I was still ordering! She did finally bring our very overpriced drinks, which makes sense because that would contribute to the tip that was automatically included.

The only two good things I can say about Hammerheads was the view and our waitress.
Beautiful view and very sweet waitress. There are no other words than the food was not fit to eat!!
