Really nice family atmosphere and a beautiful setting. Great quality beach. You can snorkel, swim in the warm clear water and relax.

So picturesque, my favourite beach on Cayman - we also walked to the right of the cove over the rocks to up to the water to watch the sunset and drink caybrews! But be careful of sea urchins!

This very pretty, fairly unpopulated spot outside of Georgetown was recommended to us by a couple of different people. There's a good bit of surf that comes crashing into the iron shore which makes for a lot of sand kicked up & some low visibility snorkeling. We went out fairly far but but still did not see much. There are some interesting coral/iron shore formations closer to shore but be a bit cautious so that one of the larger waves doesn't help you to crash into them. Took lots of cool pics of the waves & rock formations.

Visited GC 2X (May 2013 & May 2014); love Rum Point/NorthEast end but discovered Smith's Cove on 2nd trip. I love to snorkel right off the beach due to the fact that my husband and I are not "strong swimmers". It's perfect for those who can get easily intimidated by the sea. Many fish and sea creatures. Wear water shoes and walk out to the right and see all the natural pools. Simply gorgeous. Shade trees, bring a beach chair & pack a lunch. Simple bathrooms and nice clean shower. Ice cream truck, and plenty of free parking across the street. Just the best! Question: Does anyone know of any communities nearby with condo rental w/a pool for guests. Would love to rent nearby Smith's??

I thought Smith's Cove was the prettiest place my wife and I visited at Grand Cayman. We were there the last Sunday in June and it wasn't too crowded. I snorkeled and it was an easy swim with a lot to see (five foot hound fish). Lots of locals here and good for small kids. We also saw a man baptized, which was moving experience. The sunset was fantastic.
