“Very nice location for a great meal”
Reviewed 23 December 2012

We had a very important dinner there recently, where it was important for us to be in a great atmosphere to get to know some new people where a first impression was important.

The space is beautiful - great decor and lighting. The chairs were comfortable to sit and talk over cocktails. Service was efficient and non-intrusive. Music was present, but not loud enough to cause us to have to raise our voices.

Great wine selections, two "prix fixe" menus and an "a la carte". I had the "Pork 2 Ways" as appetizer which was great - the central dipping sauce that was vindaloo added a nice kick. The pork belly was really well-cooked. I then did the rack of lamb, which was also cooked perfectly and presented very nicely.

Definitely recommend for a romantic dinner, or a gathering if friends that you want to actually talk to without a ton of distractions - a social dinner, in other words.

“World Class Cuisine In Grand Cayman”
Reviewed 19 December 2012

We were referred to Blue Cilantro by the concierge at the Ritz Carlton. The food, the service, and the vibe was consistent with some of the best restaurants you'd find in New York, LA, or San Francisco. We had an excellent bottle of wine and couple of amazing entrees (including the paella). The service (both from the matre d and the waitress) was well above average.

“Great meal”
Reviewed 18 December 2012

We loved our meal here. The service was fantastic, attentive and the food was wonderful. We tried the ceviche, local fish with rice flakes, and salads -- all interesting and inventive and some with outstanding presentation. We were impressed!!! I found the decor a bit "cold" with all the blue and glass, but that's just a matter of taste. No matter, the food was outstanding. We'll return. We brought our baby...not a kid place but they put up with us just find and were very pleasant.

“New and trying for excellence”
Reviewed 16 December 2012 via mobile

Friends told us about this new place. It use fresh and organic vegetables and even grows some of it themselves. WE changed tables on arriving, one chair backed onto an open wall of water, a neat feature but our friend feared getting wet! And another friend was seated on the join of two cushions around a convex curve of the sofa, not too great if the meal was to last all evening. I tried the risotto which I gave 8 out of ten, only because it was a bit heavy on the sauce. A friend returned his mussels since he felt they had been left out waiting. Slow service on the wed wine - we were told that was because they only had 20 glasses for the whole restaurant, guess they hadn't expected so much wear and tear!
